Garbage Pail Kids

Updated on December 31, 2010

Garbage Pail Kids Are Back!

When I was in the third grade in the mid 80's, a good friend of mine introduced me to Garbage Pail Kids. I was amazed. It was right up my alley. The grosser the better. We would collect and trade them. Who would have ever known they would still be so popular 20 years later. See lots of eBay auctions below and relive your GPK memories. Also find the Garbage Pail Kids Movie and TV series at Amazon. I'm so glad you found this page, and I'm not alone in my love for the kids from the garbage pail.

The Garbage Pail Kids Movie (1987)

Based on the wildly popular and irreverent trading cards, The Garbage Pail Kids Movie stars Mackenzie Astin ("The Facts of Life") as a perfectly nice teenager who discovers the Kids...to his disgust! When Dodger (Astin) accidentally releases the Kids from their magical trash can prison, all smell breaks loose. Despite their offensive personal habits and attitude problems, Dodger soon becomes fond of the Kids. But when Messy Tessie, Foul Phil, Valerie Vomit and the whole misfit crew join his fight against thuggish bullies, their efforts just might land them behind bars at the State Home for the Ugly!

In the 1980s, these 13 animated TV episodes produced in 1989 have remained unaired and unseen - until now. Join the adventures of a seemingly normal group of kids who have the ability to quickly "trash out" to their superhero identities - "Split Kit", "Eliot Mess", "Clogged Duane", "Patty Putty" and "Terry Cloth" - to right whatever wrongs come their way.

Were you into the Garbage Pail Kids? Where did you buy them? What's your favorite card? or have you been a collector since the 80's? Please let us know you dropped by...

Love this Lens, I grew up in the age of Wacky Packages, which have made a comeback; so I'd have to say those are my faves.
