Harry Potter Fluffy Three-Headed Dog Collectibles

Updated on February 14, 2015

Harry Potter's Three-Headed Dog Was No Fluffy Puppy...

Harry Potter fans know him and they know him well. Meet Fluffy.

Fluffy, is one of a breed of rarely found, ferocious, three-headed dogs sometimes know as Hellhounds in Greek and Roman mythology.

In the Harry Potter books, Fluffy was Rubeus Hagrid's 'pet.' Hagrid purchased him in a pub from a 'Greek chappie' and used him in the school year of 1991-1992 to guard the Philosopher's Stone.

It turned out that, despite the fact that Fluffy was very ferocious, he was not the perfect guard dog for he had a weakness, which Professor Quirrell capitalized upon. Professor Quirrell played music while searching for the Stone in order to put Fluffy to sleep but, when the music stopped, Fluffy attacked Harry, Ron and Hermione. They were lucky and escaped and eventually, when Fluffy's duty of guarding the Stone was done, Hagrid set him loose in the Forbidden Forest.

You can buy your very own Fluffy! A cute one or a ferocious one, the choice is yours. From this page of Harry Potter Fluffy collectibles, you can choose the Fluffy that appeals the most to you.

Harry Potter Fluffy Plush From The Wizarding World of Harry Potter & Universal Studios

Universal Studios' new theme park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, in Orlando, Florida, has a plush Fluffy.

Their version of fluffy is a very sleepy looking creature who is not frightening at all, which means there must be music playing somewhere.

No fear, just turn off the music and Fluffy will be happy to guard your treasures. However, once the music starts again, he'll fall asleep and your treasures will no longer be safe.

Make sure you press the button while he's sleeping to hear him snore. Definitely a friendly, cuddly version of Fluffy!

This Fluffy toy is 14 inches long. He's an exclusive toy item and is recommended for individuals aged 3 and up.

I love the Fluffy stuffed animals shown here that are available from sellers on eBay. The Gund toy appears to be more readily available but a FAO Schwarz plush is available occasionally through eBay, too.

Harry: Yes?

Harry Potter Fluffy Coffee Mug

Enjoy your morning coffee with this pleasant Hagrid's Three-Headed Dog coffee mug. I love this phenomenal coffee mug from Warner Brothers featuring Fluffy from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. It's the same mug, with a different Fluffy image on each side.

"Just play a bit of music and he falls straight asleep...

I shouldn't have told you that! "

~ Hagrid

Guess three dog heads are better than one if you're fond of puppy kisses!
