Harry Potter Lego Minifigures

Updated on October 1, 2014

Harry Potter Lego Mini-figures, I'm Loving Them!

Harry Potter is still very popular. After all, a whole generation of children grew up with him, anxiously awaiting the next book and eventually the next movie and if you are like me, you parented those children through those years and you read all the books and you watched all the movies, too.

Harry Potter Lego, though retired in 2013, is also still very popular. Both Harry Potter and Lego fans love it. After all, what could be better than rebuilding a part of Harry Potter's world?

Harry Potter Lego minifigures are popular, too. As a matter of fact they are extremely popular, which has unfortunately driven the price of those little Lego pieces "up, up and away" or "to infinity and beyond" depending on what movie you choose to quote. It's just so darn impressive to see those characters you love in mini-figure form and you don't even have to be a Lego fanatic to want to collect all of the Lego Harry Potter minifigures!

That is then what you will find on this page. A gathering of some of the Lego minifigures that includes but is not limited to Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Professor Snape and Dumbledore. Unfortunately, there is no way that I can include all of the minifigs here.

Harry Potter Quidditch Lego Minifigure

One of my personal favorites. Will it be yours?

Quidditch was a very important part of the Harry Potter stories and believe it or not, it is a part of the stories that has come to life in real life. Many of those individuals who grew up with Harry and his friends are now at university playing on university Quidditch teams. All of them should, in my humble opinion, be presented with one of these Harry Potter Quidditch themed Lego minifigures! Harry Potter will always be an important part of their lives. This would be a small souvenir.

Harry Potter and His Friends

Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley

There were a few different Lego mini-figure versions of the three main characters, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, available. They are shown here in their Hogwarts school uniforms and carrying their wands which seems like an appropriate way to represent them in the Lego form.

And Hermione ready, as always, for anything.

Rubeus Hagrid Lego Minifigure

What's not to love about Harry Potter's friend, Hagrid? At the beginning of the story, Hagrid is sent to rescue a baby Harry Potter from his parents house.

Hagrid is the half-giant and half-man gamekeeper at Hogwarts who eventually becomes the Care of Magical Creatures teacher. Lego has done him justice when they created the Lego minifigure version of this big but loveable character.

Professor Dolores Umbridge Lego Minifigure

Professor Dolores Umbridge. There's just something special about this Ministry of Magic bureaucrat and her pink appearance, so perfectly replicated in this tiny figure. She appeared in two of the movies, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and was played perfectly by Imelda Staunton.

Because Professor Umbridge did not appear in many Harry Potter movies she did not appear in many Lego sets, which makes her an expensive minifigure choice. Following the orange Amazon buy button shown here will not obligate you to buy anything on Amazon, but it will allow you to check and see what Professor Umbridge is selling for today. As I write this page, she is listed for $44.

Professor Severus Snape Lego Minifigure

Professor Severus Snape appeared in all eight of the Harry Potter Lego films and, therefore, there are a number of Lego mini-figure versions of him available. He's a complex character that was pulled off brilliantly by actor Alan Rickman...I think Lego did him justice. Don't you?

Lord Voldemort Lego Minifigure

Lego did not exclude the bad guys as is evidenced by this minifigure rendering of the evil Lord Voldemort and as you know, he is a hugely important part of any Harry Potter Lego minifigure collection. Out of curiousity, I read the Amazon customer reviews for this piece and had a chuckle at one from a buyer whose first Lord Voldemort had met his death at the jaws of of his dog.

If you're interested in learning a bit more about Lord Voldemort, you might enjoy visiting my page, Meet Lord Voldemort.

More Harry Potter Mini-figure Legos

There are many more Lego minifigures available including a Dementor, Bellatrix Lestrange, Professor Quirinus Quirrell, a Troll and Professor Albus Percival Wulfric Brian. Plus, there are multiple versions of some characters.

These minifigures are popular and the rarest ones, that appeared in the fewest number of sets, command the highest prices. At this moment, my research shows that most expensive minifigure sold on eBay recently is Mad Eye Moody who sold for $51. A longer, 90-day search reveals that Professor Dolores Umbridge has sold for slightly higher than that figure.

I agree. Harry Potter in all forms -- Lego included -- was hugely popular in my house and some of the Lego sets were absolutely amazing.

I'm sad they are not making any more Harry Potter lego sets. These are my favorites.
