Harry Potter Collectible Water Globes Snow Globes

Updated on August 18, 2018

Hello Harry Potter Fan

If you are reading this page, you or someone you know is a Harry Potter fan. I know I am. I love that the children in this book are intelligent and capable. And I love the thread of spellbinding magic and friendship that runs through the series.

I also collect Snow Globes!

Snow Globe Collections

Snow globes often start as souvenirs or gifts but end up as collections. It began in the 1800s when domed glass paperweights were filled with water flooding a miniaturized scene. Today globes are very popular for collecting. Some people have made a business of buying, selling and trading their globes.

As with most collectibles, the rarer the item and the better its condition, the more money you’re likely to make.

It seems that Harry Potter globes increase in value immediately due to the quality of work and the limited editions. When it comes to buying and selling, collectors tend to use eBay, Yahoo and Etsy.

"Snow Globing can be a fun hobby, a profitable enterprise, or even both!"

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is the first novel in the Harry Potter series and is also a film of the same name.

Both the book and film were released in the United States under the name Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, a title that was "more suggestive of magic."

With the first book in the series the story begins: "An orphaned boy enrolled in a school of wizardry, where he learns the truth about himself, his family and the terrible evil that haunts the magical world." In this tale, Harry Potter, an ordinary 11-year-old boy serving as a sort of slave for his aunt and uncle, learns that he is actually a wizard and has been invited to attend the Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The Yule Ball, a tradition of the Triwizard Tournament

The Yule Ball, a tradition of the Triwizard Tournament, is a formal dance held on Christmas night of a tournament year. The ball is open to students in the fourth year and above, so Harry, Ron, and Hermione attend. Also, all tournament champions are required to attend, and to have a dance partner, as the tradition is for them to open the dance.

This water globe by The San Francisco Music Box is of exceptional quality. It sold out quickly and is now highly collectible.

Based on a scene from the film 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' features Ron Weasley dressed for the Yule Ball and plays the tune "Entry into the Great Hall".

This is my favorite of this collection. This is a beautifully crafted piece of art. It plays the "Harry Potter Theme" that you hear at the beginning of the Harry Potter movies. This will be a favorite in anyone's collection.

The three friends are caught in time with the Demento. Dementors are dark creatures that consume human happiness, creating an ambiance of coldness, darkness, misery and despair.

This creature has the property that only wizards can see it. Muggles can still feel them, though.
