Hasbro Scrabble Crossword Game with Power Tiles
I LOVE the sound and sight of BIG numbers!!! Whether it’s a cheque (check) or my favorite board game SCRABBLE!
I can play Scrabble FOREVER because with every game there are new possibilities, new word formations and decisions to be made when faced with too many vowels, too many consonants of the same letter, no vowels or no consonants. There’s always excitement!
I actually have multiple Scrabble sets now; that’s how much I LOVE the game. The first Scrabble Board set was left at my place by my sister for safe keeping when she was travelling. The second one was given to me as a birthday present by a friend of mine who travelled and with whom I love playing Scrabble because she’s a challenging opponent. It’s a real treat, that second one because it has DOUBLE the amount of tiles of a regular Scrabble Board set – 200 tiles!
Now Hasbro has found a really nice and exciting way to shake up the game once more with these POWER TILES. As the name suggests they give you the ability to massively increase your Scrabble scores.
This NEW ‘Power Tile’ Scrabble comes with 100 letter tiles, a tile pouch and game rules, just as the original Scrabble game. The main difference is that this game includes an addition 12 tiles called ‘Power Tiles’ which you can use in varying ways including:
- 1.Saving certain squares so you can play on them later
- (like triple word, double word, triple letter etc.)
- 2.Trading current tiles for new tiles.
If you’re a Scrabble lover, you’ll love this subtle but new twist to the game. You’ll think I’m a lunatic J but just the different colours of those POWER TILES and knowing the potential scores they hold make me feel in control of that Scrabble board when I’m playing.
Each new edition has more words that are acceptable in Scrabble.
This is the Scrabble DOUBLE DELIGHT I talked about earlier.
Here's another of my favourite board games.
