There's no accepted name for this device, as its product names vary and depend on the companies which distribute them. SwagTron T1 Hands Free Two Wheel Self Balancing Electric Scooter (Hoverboard)

The SwagTron T1 is a portable rechargeable battery-powered device. You can take your hoverboard with you almost anywhere you want: use it to get to school, work, gym or just race with your friends, try new tricks! There are two non-slip foot pads you have to stand on and aluminum wheels with tire traction, arranged side by side. Turn on your SwagTron by pressing the power button and it's ready to go! When boarding a Swagtron, step one foot at a time from behind. After stepping one foot, then step with other foot quickly and stand upright. Rubber pads are touch sensitive, so you can ride only when enough pressure apply. Focus most of your weight on the outside of the device, close to the wheels. The hoverboard is controlled by your feet and moves when you shift your body weight. Lean forward to move forward, stand upright to stop, to turn, shift your weight in the direction you want to turn, lean back to move backwards. The motors ready to handle your most subtle movements. Yes, it's that easy, and it takes only an hour to master, but it takes practice to feel confident and do whatever you would like to.

SwagTron comes with two modes: learning and standard. So if you are a new, inexperienced rider, the learning mode is preferable for you. To switch modes you have to press the power button and then quickly push it again.

The high quality branded lithium battery with patented Sentry Shield will last from 7 to 12 miles on 1 charge and an indicator will let you know when it's time to charge up again. The battery pack has a charge time up to 3 hours. Speed (2 - 8 MPH) depends on the weight of the rider (maximum weight – 220 lbs, minimum – 44 lbs), the driving technique, charge of the battery and the riding surface. Also, Swagtron features LED headlights. These hoverboards are available to buy in 6 colors – black, white, blue, yellow, red and pink.

You should know that this hoverboard can't jump curbs, which is a minus, of course. Climbing capability of tis device - 30°. SwagTron T1 isn't waterproof, so you have to keep it in mind when riding on the street.

Swagtron is the world's first hoverboard to receive the new UL2272 (UL – Underwriter Laboratories, a global science safety company) hoverboard certification that was recently introduced. That means that the product has gone through government-regulated safety testing, evaluation of the electrical and battery, charger systems and has proven to be safe. But make sure there's a holographic sticker at the bottom of the product.

This self-balancing scooter features multi-layered protection to the battery, mainboard, gears, silicone coating to help prevent exposure to heat and moisture. Now, with the Smart Battery Management, the battery will not overcharge or overheat.Use your hoverboard with confidence, know the components won't go on fire.Though it will be better if you unplug the charger as soon as it's charged, as it increases overall battery life. There's protection but the cycle of drain-charge-drain charge can occur if the charger is left plugged into the device, which can lead to the poor battery life.

The hoverboard that has been taking the Internet by storm now is even better. T1 is probably the best self balancing scooter today. The first UL2272 approved scooter in the world, so when it comes to safety it's the best at the moment. SwagTron will be fun to ride both for adults and kids!
