Start by selecting any rubbery toys that squirt water, which are more susceptible to retaining water and growing mold. Clean the inside of these toys with a concentrate of 2 cups of white vinegar and 5 drops of tea-tree oil to disinfect (adjust the volume ratio if you only have one toy, or have a dozen). Draw the solution into the toy, and allow it to sit inside the toy for 15 minutes. Agitate periodically to help any mold and gunk loosen within. After some time has passed squeeze the liquid out of the toy.

To clean the exterior of the toys, mix 5 cups of vinegar, 3 tablespoons of natural liquid dish soap, 10 drops of tea-tree oil, and 2 gallons of warm water, into a plastic container. After that cover a lid onto the container, and shake until it mixes well. This mixture is less concentrated than the mixture you utilized in Step 1, but this is excellent at removing soap scum. (It makes for all-purpose cleaner too, if you like you can store in a spray bottle and clean your kids toys whenever you feel it is necessary)

Add all of your bath toys to this prepared mixture, snap on the lid, and shake the container well so that the soap in the mixture agitates, bubbles and envelops the toys. Now check any evidence of soap scum loosened.

Now drain all of the water right into your bathtub. Fill the container with warm water from the tap the clean residual soap from the toys, and then lay them all out on a flat towel to completely dry. Remember to squeeze toys that squirt water and after cleaning or every bath use, toys should be emptied to avoid water from sitting inside the toy.

Suggestion

Once you are done with cleaning, if you still see black mold inner side the toy, toss it and remove it. The vinegar is an excellent solution for regular cleaning, maintenance, and prevention, however, sometimes it's difficult to commit that all of the mold and dirt is removed.
