Jumanji The Board Game
Jumanji...A Game For Those Who Seek and Find A Way To Leave Their World Behind
The story Jumanji originated in a popular 1981 children's book by Chris Van Allsburg. It was made into a movie starring Robin Williams, Jonathan Hyde, Kirsten Dunst, Bradley Pierce and Bonnie Hunt and into a board game in 1995.
The story itself actually includes a board game, which makes a board game a pretty interesting movie tie in item that continues to be a sought after. Although Jumanji the game was released at the same time as the movie, it is still possible to buy both new and preowned copies of Jumanji to add to your game collection.
In Jumanji, you roll the die and follow the path and Jumanji pits you against the dangers of the jungle. Raging rhinos, lurking lions and quicksand are but a few of the pests and plagues you might have to battle in this game.
Jumanji, the board game, is recommended for two to four individuals aged 8 and up.

Real Jumanji Board From The Movie Sold on eBay
"ORIGINAL, AUTHENTIC, SCREEN-USED GAME BOARD BOX FROM THE MOTION PICTURE JUMANJI."
WOW! That is all I can say when I see that an original Jumanji game from the movie sold in January, 2014, on eBay for a whopping $60,800. According to the eBay seller, this was a cast foam board used "walk outdoors or move around in the set with the closed Jumanji game." He elaborated that, "boards that were used for close shots were made of wood and were quite heavy." In order to prevent one of those heavy wooden boards from getting damaged, the cast foam boards were created.
Robin Williams (July 21, 1951 – August 11, 2014)
The world lost a brilliant actor and comedian when Robin Williams left us on August 11, 2014. Williams was a lot of fun in the movie Jumanji.
