Lego Friends Olivia's House - Dollhouse Toy For Girls

Updated on December 30, 2015

Girls Build And Play To Their Hearts Desire

I would have loved to have had one of these, as well as other Friends sets.

Girls and boys can build this house in Lego bricks. This set is detailed and comes with lots of pieces that are unique , not found in other sets. Kids can build according to the booklet, or not. And they can combine sets in so many ways that we wouldn't think of. .

While there has been some controversy over these toys, the product line is based on years of research and testing with girls and their Moms.

To my mind, a toy they will play with is good for them. They will take it to places that adults cannot necessarily imagine as they build and play with the sets. The pieces are interchangeable with other sets, and kids are imaginative in how they put things together.

Olivia's House is one of the most popular LEGO Friends playsets. The general consensus is "amazing" and "awesome" with both children and adults enjoying hours of building and play. The Friends line is a winner with kids we know, based on playability and durability (which parents like).

This doll house will keep them active and thinking for hours on end.

I Had to Try a Playset Myself

I did it. I got myself some LEGOs and build the sets.

The one in the photo is called Olivia's Invention Workshop. Her lab provides elements that a bright girl like Olivia needs to make her creative ideas come to life in play, includes microscope, chemistry and robotics.

When I was a kid, the building toys were all for boys. Us girls had kitchens, stores, sewing and needlework to play with. It would have been fun to have our own Lincoln Logs and Tinkertoys, toys usually reserved for boys!

A Beautiful Lego Doll House

Inside And Out

If you're thinking of getting a doll house for a girl (of any age), take a look at Olivia's House. Purchasers are very happy with the building, play and enjoyment that children are getting from this well-appointed house.

Themes like independence, cooperation, engagement are all over the reviews of how children (and often adults, too) are loving this set, and other LEGO Friends sets.

This set of 695 pieces makes a fully furnished and accessorized house, including landscaping. And all the pieces can be taken apart and rearranged, to her little heart's desire.

Girls get to build this house, following the booklet, or making changes how and when they wish.

Once it's ready, the Friends mini-dolls come to visit and girls role play with them, again using their imagination to enjoy this playset designed with girls in mind.
