Lego Harry Potter Video Game

I was a little disappointed with the Lego Harry Potter video game. The lego video games leading up to this one were more action oriented and this one seemed more problem solving, balancing, and doing things in the appropriate order. I also found that following the ghosts through the castle a little monotonous as I didn't under why they needed to do that. I liked the Star Wars episodes in that lego video game and knowing how to get from one scene to the next.

After I got used to following the ghost and the long scenes in between playing the game, it became quite fun. Although some of the scenes it was very challenging trying to figure out what to do, it is a very fun game without the violence in most video games. These are great for grade school kids and lots of fun for teenagers and adults.

Lego Harry Potter Video Game, Years 1 thru 4

Years 1 thru 4 follow the first four books Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling, The Sorcerer's Stone, The Chamber of Secrets, The Prisoner of Azkaban, and The Goblet of Fire.

Follow Harry, Hermoine, and Ron through their adventures at Hogwarts as they explore the castle, Hagrid's hut, the forbidden forest, dragons, and Hogsmede. Battle different villians, learn to ride a broom, play Quidditch, and learn how to cast spells.

There are many details in the game that will wow even the experienced video gamer. Learn how to aim the wand, use Ron's rat to gain access to different areas, learn how to jump, and solve puzzles in each room.

Lego Harry Potter Video Game, Years 5 thru 7

Years 5 thru 7 cover the last three books in the Harry Potter series, the Order of the Phoenix, the Half-Blood Prince, and the Deathly Hallows. I can't wait to play this version.

Harry, Ron, and Hermoine are growing up and are exploring more outside of Hogwarts. Help them navigate Hogsmede, London, the countryside, and Draco's house. And finally, help Harry as he defeats Lord Voldemart.

Watch the movies before you play the Lego Harry Potter video games

I've found the Harry Potter lego video games follow the movies very closely, so if you have watched the Harry Potter movies, you will have a leg up on what to do in the game. There are eight movies which cover the seven books, the last two movies cover the seventh book.
