Lego Transformers?

Updated on April 17, 2013

You might like KRE-O Transformers

Have you been wondering if there's a Lego Transformers range? Transformers 3 is very popular at the moment and you may have seen toys that look like Lego Transformers.

If you have then they were probably KRE-O Transformers by Hasbro. Hasbro own the license for Transformers and they decided to make a range of building block Transformers 3 models including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream and more.

I've also included some links to Lego Transformers models that people have made. And a very cool Lego Transformers 3 Video. It a stop motion version of the Transformers 3: Dark of The Moon Trailer using LEGO and Hasbro Transformers action figures.

KRE-O Transformers Toys

Not Lego Transformers - They're KRE-O

KRE-O Transformers are model kits that use Lego-like bricks. You can make the robot form and vehicle form of a transformers from the same set. This gives lots of play value and the models are made over and over again in their different forms. (Note that you can't transform from one form to the other, you must disassemble and rebuild.)

Lego Transformers Video - Stop Motion Animation

This Lego Transformer Stop Motion video is very well done! It's a remake of the Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon trailer using Hasbro Action Figures (not KRE-O toys) and Lego mini figures. Very cool!

KRE-O Transformers Sets

We have several sets of these and they're very good value with two different models to build in each pack, especially now that many of the original sets have been discounted.

They are LEGO compatible and the sets fit together well compared to other brands we've tried.

Keep the Spare Pieces Safe

Note that not all pieces are used in both builds so you do need to keep the spare pieces somewhere safe for when you want to transform the model.

Thanks for Visiting

@adamstewart486: I've designed a few Lego transformers on LDD, but only have one of them. I'm 16 now, but I built them when I was 12.
