Fisher Price Collection

Fisher Price Toys are high quality educational toys. Kids of all ages can use their imagination and pretend they are farmers, doctors, and pilots. They can be circus ring masters and rodeo clowns.

When I was a child, Fisher Price Little People toys were my favorite! I spent hours upon hours playing with the airport, the garage, and the A-Frame Swiss Chalet.

All grown up now, I can't help but remember the stress free days of my childhood when I see a Fisher Price toy that I had. They bring back such happy memories that I love to collect them.

Little Snoopy - A Favorite Fisher Price Pull Toy

Pull Toys were a favorite for many! He should have a little red shoe hanging from his mouth but it's missing on this one.

Pull Toys were very popular toys

Fisher Price has a whole line of pull toys. I only have a few of them like this Little Snoopy dog. He's a cute little fella! When you pull him by the string, his wheels are positioned so that he wobbles along like a real dog. His tail had a little red ball on the end of it that would dance around when he moved. He also should have a little shoe hanging on a string from his mouth but mine doesn't have it on there anymore.

Circus Train

This was my all time favorite Fisher Price Toy - the Circus Train

The Circus Train

This was one of my favorite Fisher Price toys. I'm a true animal lover so I used to pretend that I was the ring master and the animals would do all sorts of tricks. The elephants could stand on their hind legs and rear, the monkeys would climb the train car, and the giraffes could sit down like dogs. The engine makes clicking noises as you roll it along and there's a horn on the top that makes a great train whistle when you push it in. I was always fascinated with the caboose when I was little because I loved the way that the people rode in it while the animals were in the other cars. Did I mention that it doesn't need batteries? All those great noises that don't need batteries to make them work. They run on imagination and a little mechanics.

Record Player - Music Box

Fisher Price Record Player

The record player was another one of my favorites

This was another one of my favorites. I loved to be able to play my own music. The records I have are Humpty Dumpty and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Edelweiss and Hickory Dickory Dock, and Au Clair and Jack and Jill. There's 2 more records that I'm missing. This is a wind up record player, no batteries necessary. You can turn it on and off and move the arm on and off the records. Just like the grown up record players! The records are made of plastic with no paper on them so they are completely washable. I have 2 or 3 of them around my house and they still work as great today as they did 40 years ago. High Quality.

Built In Storage

They Thought of Everything

One of my favorite things about the record player is that it has a place to store the records built right in. That way, you don't have to worry about losing them. They go right inside. The toy makers at Fisher Price think of everything. The toys are super durable, educational, and fun!

See if you can tell the difference... I can!!

Mini Bus - with lots of Little People!

The Mini Bus (or is it a mini van?)
The Mini Bus (or is it a mini van?)

The Modern Mini Van

The Little People even had a mini van!! They called it a mini bus but it's definitely what we would call a mini van now.. It held 6 people comfortably. Who knows... maybe the modern mini van was created by someone who used to love their Fisher Price mini bus when they were a child.

The Chime Ball

I Love the Chimes

I love this chime ball. It makes a beautiful chime sound when it's moved around. It has rocking horses and rocking swans. They are so cute. The ball is weighted on the bottom so it stays standing up the right way and little babies can't throw it easily. Every time they bump it or push it, they are rewarded with that lovely chime sound!

The Chime Phone

Press "0" and the operator pops up to help you!
Press "0" and the operator pops up to help you!

Hello? How can I help you?

This phone was always fun because the operator would pop out when you pressed the "0". All the other numbers make chime sounds when little fingers press them. Somewhere in my house, I have a picture of me playing with my chime phone. If I ever find it, I'll be sure to post it here!

Fisher Price Music Box TV

So Many Music Boxes

Music is a big part of the Fisher Price toys because it helps with brain development. There's a whole bunch of music boxes from little small ones to the bigger ones like this TV. The music is simple lullabies that kids love like Row, Row, Row the Boat, London Bridges, and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I carried mine around everywhere and made sure that my kids had them when they were little too.

A New Classic

Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Chatter Telephone
Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Chatter Telephone

This old classic was so well loved by so many kids that they are making them again! The face is so cute! The big blue eyes blink as it moves so kids pull it over and over just to see that. Where else will kids learn how to dial a rotary phone? Maybe they won't ever need to but at least they'll know how after playing with this toy! The more they turn it, the more ringing noises it makes. I called everyone I knew with mine. I called my mom, my grandma and grandpa, and aunts and uncles.

Start Your Own Collection!

For some reason, church rummage sales always seem to have old Fisher Price toys and you have to get there early to grab them up. I think it's because most churches had babysitting rooms for the small children while the parents and older siblings went to mass. These toys are so durable and fun that they last forever and hardly ever need to be replaced.

Another place to start finding toys for your collection would be lots of different antique shops. Most of my collection starts with the 60's and 70's but you can find much older Fisher Price toys at these shops.

Besides searching church rummage sales and antique stores, you can find lots of great Fisher Price toys on eBay.

Thanks for Stopping By!

@sierradawn lm: My castle is older and more elegant than the 1974 set they have listed for bid here. But I have bookmarked this site to keep checking back. I had that same Snoopy Dog pull toy when I was a kid! And I have purchased lots of the old little people sets you show here for my grandchildren.

We have the ferris wheel that still fascinates my adult children! I think the mystique of the old FP toys sends me back to a more innocent time.
