pacman and google

Updated on May 22, 2010

Mr. Pacman

So it seems that in honor of pacman's 30th birthday, world renowned google is allowing web users all over the world to play pacman right from the google homepage. All you simply have to do is click on the pacman map image and you are off to playing one of the world's most known arcade games. In case you haven't noticed, the pacman map used is a custom map made to spell out the word "Google"

It is always awesome to have a reminder of things in our past that has been so simple, yet brought years of memories back to the front of our minds. I can remember playing pacman as a little kid thinking to myself, "what in the world is that yellow thing, what is he eating, and why are there ghosts??" The map's walls and obstacles always reminded me of neon signs and bad 80's music.

Pacman was released in japan on May 22, 1980 becoming immensely popular in the United States Soon thereafter.
