Pokémon Poke Ball Replicas
You Can buy most of these Pokeballs Online
A good Pokeball that looks real and is about the right size is so hard to find.
When I was a kid I always wanted a decent looking Pokeball toy. I wanted a Pokeball that felt more a tool or a prop then just a plastic toy. Obviously they couldn't sell a metal Pokémon toy to kids, heck they would have to charge a fortune. That's alright though because now as an adult I can buy one. The image to left of here is Pokeball replica made by Pallet Town Exports. Sadly they've been forced out of business by The Pokemon Company. Still, there's plastic Pokeballs which are good for kids, there's foam Pokeballs which are great for Cosplay and then there's a few other goodies as well.
Take a look through the page and if you know of something better let me know in the comments below.

Usually here is where I put Pokeball made by small creators. This space is saved for people making quality handcrafted and original Pokemon items. If you have a website, etsy, deviantart or somewhere else that you make Pokeballs let me know in the comments below and I'll put it here.
Clip 'n Carry Pokeballs - Dusk ball, Master ball, Ultra ball
EDIT: OMG These are selling like crazy
These are becoming my go to recommend when friends ask me what to get for their kids or cosplay. They're relatively cheap. A few dollars more than the foam Pokeballs and a lot cheaper than than a hand made option. The Clip 'n Carry set all look really good and come with a Pokémon figure inside of them. The outside is a hard but light glossy plastic. The size is just about right for costumes or general play.
Master Ball comes with a Keldeo. I love the Master Ball but I can't help but wish Keldeo never existed
The Poke ball belt is good for collectors, cosplayers or anyone with reasonable priorities.

2.5 Inch Soft Pokeball Toy Replica
These Pokeballs are about the size of the pre-expanded pokeballs from the TV series. You often see trainers in the Pokemon anime or Pokemon Manga carrying these size on their belts, bags and backbacks. Probably the best choice for someone who doesn't want to spend a lot and maybe just wants to goof around.
The Pokeballs in this set are all soft and won't really do to much harm to anyone when they're thrown. Which can be a big plus with kids. It also means collectors don't have to worry about scratching or chipping the paint on them.
The Pokeball below is the Premier Ball. White on White with the red seem. In the Pokemon Video games you get these whenever you buy more then 10 regular red and white pokeballs from the pokemart. You may also recognize these as the raid pokeballs from Pokemon Go. The set includes all the classic pokeballs like the Ultra PokeBall and Master Ball along with a few others.
You get what you see. It's a Premier ball but you don't have to buy 5 of the regular ones to get your hands on it. I always tried to save these for my favorite Pokemon.
Plain Old Plastic Pokeballs
Here's the thing. These Pokeballs aren't anything special. They open and close to hold figures inside them. The good thing though is that these are cheap and there is a lot to choose from. You could even buy the classic "GS" Ball.

Pokemon Bouncy Pokeballs
Not Everyone wants a real sized Pokeball. For a lot of people something like this is more than enough. The name says it all. They bounce...They are kind of cool though. I've seen these given out as party favors or stocking stuffers and they work well for that. Occasionally you'll see a cash strapped cosplayer use something like this as well.
They're cheap and they look good. If a cheap Pokeball toy is what you're looking for then congratulations you just found it.
Pokemon Throw Series Toys - Jakks Pokeballs Replica
The Pokemon Throw Series pokeballs have been popular for a while now. They're one of the best licensed pokeballs you can buy. I find them to be a bit small in my hand personally but I have big hands. Most large toy stores will carry them but if you want a certain figure (each one comes with a different Pokemon in it) your best bet is to buy them online.
I've put together some samples below. If you don't see the Pokemon you want. You can click on the image and use the search option to find the rest.

Lights and Sound Pokeball
I don't have one of these myself. They look really really good in pictures and the Pokeball has a sort of mini game with it. It makes different lights or sounds to indicate if you've caught a Pokemon or not. Obviously aimed at younger fans but still seems pretty cool.
I think lot of people would like to see a Metal Pokeball replica. Or something that would feel less like a toy and more like a tool. Even a great looking movie quality prop would be nice. I always imagined in the Pokemon anime the pokeballs they used would be more like fiberglass or some futuristic type of metal. It would have to be something lite enough for a ten year old. What materials do we have now that can expand and contract while holding some seriously complicated computers in them? If anyone does by chance find a company selling reliable good looking metal pokeballs leave a comment below. I'd be interested to see how they look.
