Puzzles for 3 Year Olds

Updated on June 28, 2014

Welcome to my Holiday Gift Guide on Puzzles for 3 Year Olds

One of my daughter's favorite toys as a toddler was working on puzzles. We had the wooden puzzles and the cardboard puzzles. The wooden ones seem to last longer. She is a lot older now, but still loves to work on a puzzle with me.

These days, there are so many cute puzzles for 3 year olds and up. Melissa and Doug puzzles come in the different shapes, like the farm, train and fire truck.

Then there is Thomas and Friends Puzzles. All children love trains. These puzzles are fun to put together for children of all ages.

Puzzles improve a child's problem solving and reasoning skills.

Puzzles are excellent for developing hand-eye coordination, spatial and observational skills.

I love Melissa and Doug, too. Lensrolled to my 10-favorite-melissa-and-doug-toys.

These are great for little ones. Puzzles are such fun and I've always loved it when my granddaughter brings out her puzzles. I get down on the floor with her.

I love these puzzles. I used to carry them when I used to sell at home school conventions and book fairs. That was back when Melissa and Doug were just starting their company. I only regret I didn't know about these if they were there yet when Jason was young. He wold have loved them.
