Review of LEGO Star Wars Jabba's Palace
This is a great gift for the Star Wars fan in your life. I gave this to my wife last Christmas so that she could share her joy of Star Wars with our 7 year old daughter. It took my daughter and wife most of Christmas Day to assemble Jabba's Palace. While building it, my wife explained the characters and plot of the movie, Return of the Jedi, to our daughter so that she may appreciate this movie and the Star Wars saga.
Jabba's Palace measures 9 inches tall, 11 inches wide, and 7 inches wide. It includes figures Han Solo frozen in Carbonite, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Chewbacca in handcuffs, Salacious Crumb, several other monsters, and of course Jabba. Jabba's Palace includes a sliding throne with trap door, entrance gate, movable security guns, and last but not least hidden treasure. The watchtower is detachable. A really cool edition to the Star Wars Jabba's Palace is the LEGO Star Wars Rancor Pit (75005). The LEGO Star Wars Rancor Pit is a play set that can stand alone or it can fit under the LEGO Star Wars Jabba's Palace play set. When fit under Jabba's Palace, the sliding throne moves dropping an unsuspecting human or monster into the pit with the Rancor monster with an insatiable appetite!
Once built, your kids can act out scenes in the Return of the Jedi movie or rebuilt, it is LEGO after all, and create their own story-line. I highly recommend this LEGO set for your child, or adult with inner child, in your life.
This is a great addition to Jabba's Palace. I purchased this for my wife's Birthday so that she and our daughter could add this to Jabba's Palace.
Great video showing you the process of building LEGO Star Wars Jabba's Palace through a kid's eyes.
This is on my wife's wish list.
