Silver and Gold Koala Coins from the Perth Mint

The Perth Mint has a series of coins that include both numismatic and bullion coins depicting the koala. The koala is one of the more recognizable animals of Australia.

The koala series first started with the 2009 issue. The image on these coins changes annually, and it has quickly become a popular series.

Silver Bullion Koala

The silver bullion coin is available in a multitude of sizes, starting with the small one-tenth Troy ounce coin, and including large coins as large as a kilogram.

The one-tenth Troy ounce coins and some one Troy ounce coins are mint to order coins, which means they are produced only after ordered. The mint to order coins are issued on a mint card, and should command a premium over the other bullion issues.

The Gold Koala Proof Koala Coins

The gold coin is available in several sizes from as small as one twenty-fifth Troy ounce, and as large as one Troy Ounce. These coins are well worth consideration from any investor and from any coin collector. The proof coins are numismatic coins.

The gold koala coins are housed in a beautiful display case with a timber lid, and are accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity. These are minted in limited quantity.
