Skyrim How to Solve the Midden Dark Daedric Hand Relic Puzzle
In Skyrim, the hero's quest to solve the mysteries of the Eye of Magnus brings him to the Midden. There are two ways to access the Midden - a trapdoor on the ground in the Hall of Countenance in the College of Winterhold, or another trapdoor on the ground at the far end of the courtyard of the College of Winterhold. The search for the Augur of Dunlain takes the hero from the Midden into the Midden Dark. The monsters in this area are relatively easy to defeat with dual destruction magic spells, and a follower. The most difficult monster may be the Ice Wraith.
In the Midden Dark, the hero will see the Midden Dark Daedric Hand Relic. This Midden Dark Daedric Hand Relic has five fingers (obviously), and four of them yield for rings to be placed onto them. Now turn right and see on a table a key - pick up the key and head back to the College of Winterhold. Look for the Arcaneum or library. Upon entering the Arcanuem, turn left and head for a chest that has a master lock on it. Either pick this master lock or just use the Investigator's Key to unlock the chest. Now from the chest pick up the four rings - Katarina's Ornamental Ring, Pithiken's Ornamental Ring, Balwen's Ornamental Ring and Treoy's Ornamental Ring. The hero should sneak here to prevent Urag gro-Shub from catching the hero stealing the rings.
In Skyrim the Midden Dark, head back down to the midden daedric hand relic and put the rings on the fingers in the following ways -
- Katarina's ring on the index finger
- Balwen's ring on the ring finger
- Pithiken's ring on the little finger
- Treoy's ring on the middle finger
With the placement of the ornamental rings in the correct combination in the midden dark daedric hand relic, the hand will clench into a fist and a daedric servant called Velehk Sain will appear. Bargain with Velehk Sain and eventually he will ask for his release from the binding to the midden from the Daedric Hand Relic in exchange the location of a hidden daedric treasure. Once the hero releases Velehk Sain, he will give the hero a map of the hidden daedric treasure.
Skyrim Location of Daedric Hand Puzzle Treasure Chest
Skyrim Location of the Daedric Relic Hand Treasure
In Skyrim, the map that indicates the location of the daedric relic hand treasure is not too useful. Instead, to find the daedric relic hand treasure, the hero should simply head west from Winterhold and then head to the location as shown in the map (see picture). Physically, around the area indicated, the hero should see the Statue of Talos. When facing this statue of Talos, at the foot of the statue on the right is the midden daedric relic hand treasure chest. Pick up all the treasures here, and then head up to the Statue of Talos to get the blessing of Talos and also a book near the statue to increase one handed weapon skill. So in addition to getting the midden daedric relic hand treasure, the hero also gets some nice rewards from just around the area. Very nice indeed!
