Skyrim Power of Elements Quest

In Skyrim, the hero asks Faralda what else there is to learn in the Destruction Magic area after attaining a destruction magic level of 100. Faralda will give the hero the Power of the Elements book and this will start the Power of the Elements Quest. This will guide the hero in completing the power of the elements quest and getting the firestorm spell at the end of the quest.

Skyrim Get to Windward Ruins

In Skyrim, the first (of three phases) phase of the Power of the Elements quest involves the hero getting to Windward Ruins. The hero starts at Winterhold and heads west along the northern coastline until the hero reaches Dawnstar. From Dawnstar, head southwest and use the compass to locate the Windward Ruins. In this magical pilgrimage, the hero should remain focused and ignore all the monsters along the way by outrunning them. If the hero reaches a cliff or mountain that appears inaccessible along the way to Windward Ruins, there is usually a way around it, so do not give up. When the hero reaches Windward Ruins, put the power of the elements book on the pedestal and activate the next page by casting a fire spell on it.

In Skyrim, the second page in the Power of the Elements book points to the location of the second pedestal. This location is the North Skybound Watch. The hero must go to Helgen Keep. Put the Skyrim map on, and notice that there is a path east out of Helgen Keep and which leads up the mountains to a seemingly dead end. This "dead end" is in fact North Skybound Watch. Eliminate the bandits here and cast a frost based spell to activate the power of the elements book on the pedestal. This will cause the third page of the power of the elements book to appear.

In Skyrim, the third page in the Power of the Elements book points to the location of the third pedestal. This location is the Four Skull Lookout. The hero must go to the Forsworn Camp just outside Karthspire. From this Forsworn Camp, find a path that leads north, and follow it and use the compass to pinpoint and then reach Four Skull Lookout. Put the power of elements book on the pedestal and cast a lightning based spell on it.

The Power of Elements Book will be activated and the hero will get the Firestorm spell. Now head back to the College of Winterhold and find Faralda. She will now sell the other two master of destruction magic spells Blizzard and Lightning Storm.
