As Lego's second Space themed series to receive a makeover in the 1990s, the Space Police received an all new armada to enforce Galactic Law. In addition to their iconic green and red trim, the Space Police II was the first Lego Space series to receive new minifig faces.

Their primary objective, to protect the M-Tron and Ice Planet 2002 against the greedy Blacktron Future Generation. They would later battle and ultimately loose to the Spyrius as the Galaxy Wars continued.
