Funko Star Wars Pop Vinyl Toy Figures

Updated on September 24, 2018

Star Wars Collectible Figures by Funko Pop!

Collectable Star Wars Pop! Vinyl toys are incredibly detailed figures of the Sci-fi action heroes from the entire series of movies, issued in three Waves. Made by Funko, toy maker synonymous with the word Bobblehead and their own brand of Wacky Wobblers. 25 collectable characters were sent out in the first four waves of the Rebel Alliance... that is, the Star Wars Pop! Vinyl series.

Exclusive figures were created for the San Diego Comic-con in limited editions of 480 pieces. The Emerald City Comicon in Seattle also issued exclusive figures of Luke and Han Solo disguised as Stormtroopers, in an edition of 1001 pieces each.

Funko Star Wars Pop Series 3 was launched at the New York Toy Fair with six Star Wars characters, including Jabba the Hutt and Slave Leia. See the List of Funko Pop! Star Wars character figures with the new toys in Series 3 and 4, and retired Star Wars Pop figures in Series 1 and 2.

The biggest toy fair in the country happens each year at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) when toy companies create limited editions of their new vinyl figures with special metallic paint, and other variants. These editions run from 120 to 480 pieces, eventually making their way to online stores.

Three exclusive Star Wars Pop! figures were released for the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con SDCC in July. Darth Maul Blue Holographic, the 501st Clone Trooper and Biggs Darklighter X-wing Pilot.

Funko Pop Star Wars Series 1

The Dark Lord (Darth Vader), expendable white Storm Troopers and Greedo are the bad guys in Star Wars Series 1. Chewy (Chewbacca), Master Yoda (looking only about one or two hundred years old) and Princess Leia are also in the first Wave 1 of good guys from the movie with their own Funko Pop Star Wars toy.

Han Solo Jedi is now retired. The good new is that you can still get retired figures online. Funko added Han, Greedo, Gamorrean Guard and the Shadow Trooper to the Official List of Retired Funko Pop vinyl figures.

Where to buy Star Wars Pop! figures

Series 1 figures are still available, including the retired figures Han Solo Jedi and Greedo. Chewbacca was also issued as an SDCC exclusive toy in flocked plastic.

The other two sets in the mini bobble-head series pair Chewbacca with Jedi Master Yoda, and the two robots together: C-3PO and R2-D2.

"Computer-sitters" by Funko are about the same scale as these 3 inch tall figures, with characters from Star Wars and comic books.

Funko creates four different kinds of Star Wars toys.

Pop! Vinyl figures have a super-stylized design, like all the Funko Pop Vinyl toys. The Wisecracks series brings you the "Galaxy's Best Father", who loves you "Sith much", with quotes from Leia and other characters, Funko also makes Wacky Wobbler and Funko Force style bobble-heads.

The Funko Force series of vinyl figures have realistic features. Yoda and Chewbacca balance the forces of good and evil against the power of the dark side characters: Darth Vader, the Shadow Trooper and Boba Fett.

@Jo-Jackson: They get delivered to Australia first - closer to China factories.
