Step 2 Naturally Playful Big Folding Slide

Updated on September 13, 2014

My Personal Review!

Winter is coming again in most parts of the world. I have a friend in the USA who has a young child with so much energy, she exhausts everyone. She gets even worse if someone gives her junk food to eat, which happens occasionally . Its not so bad in the summer, as she can get outside and run around and let off steam that way. However, when winter comes they need play equipment that can be bought inside so this little girl can use up all her excess energy. As you may know I love to research products and write reviews on them, so I set about to help my friend to find a really high quality play set that would be great for inside and outdoor play. So after extensive research I found the Step2 Naturally Playful Big Folding SlideShe loves it and now that winter is coming she has it inside again.

So what do you need to look for in a big Folding Slide?

SizeQualitySafetySo lets look at the size to start with: When its set up the folding slide measures 41" x 64" x 17" and when its folded down it measures 22" x 64" x 17". Its a good size but not too big to fit into a lounge room in the winter. The maximum weight that should be on it at once is 50 lbs. The complete package weighs in at 32.2 pounds for shipping.Whats the quality like? Like all Step 2 playsets, this slide is very high quality. It is made from Durable, double wall polyethylene that will last for years. This slide is tough so you can expect it to last long enough to be handed down to another family when you're children are finished with it!!Is it going to be Safe? Yes! The manufacturers have looked very hard at safety and they have added High side rails which I like a lot and also sure-grip handles provide a sense of security and assist child while climbing

How long does it take to set it up?

Less than 5 minutes, so your children will be using the slide minutes after delivery. Customers who have bought the slide have all been surprised and thrilled at how quick it is to set up.What age is the slide suitable for? The manufacturer says that the step 2 naturally playful slide is suitable for ages 24 months - 8 years.

What is included?

The slide comes in 3 pieces, so anybody will be able to assemble it.What others are saying? The slide got rave reviews with customers giving it an average of 5 stars from 84 customers .wow! this means this product is really good.. Here are some of the comments I found from owners of the slide:1.My daughter climbs it, slides down while saying "weeeee", lands perfectly on her feet, runs around to the steps, and starts all over again until she is too tired to continue, which can go on for hours.2.Santa brought this slide for our 2 1/2 year old for Christmas this year and it has been one of his favorite gifts! This slide is durable and sturdy and folds in half nicely to store it away while not being used.3.I ordered this slide for my two year old granddaughter for Christmas. It was very easy to set up and she loved it. Well worth the money!4.I think it's perfect for those rainy days, indoor usage, for kids between 1 and 3 years old.The plastic is sturdy enough for many hours of fun.5.We set this up in time for my daughter's 2nd birthday party and had several 10 year olds climbing on it. OK, so they're very skinny.6.I purchased this for my son's 2nd birthday. I wanted something he could play with inside during the winter, but that didn't take up a ton of space. This is perfect!7.If you are looking for something that is worth the money and want it to be played with for longer than 6 months, than this is it. The 7-year-old neighbor boy can still fit down this slide with ease, if that gives you an idea of just how cool it is.

Any Complaints?

One owner complained the the two drill holes were not pre-drilled. This is what he said later" I spoke with a customer service representative that told me that as of 2/10, they stopped pre-drilling holes due to the liability created when/if a child eats the shavings produced by the drill. I ended up taking a nail with a diameter less than the provided screws and tapped it through the thin layer of plastic to create holes. The screws then went on without a problem. Neither I nor the customer service representative could figure out why this wouldn't be pointed out in the manual. Hopefully they will change it soon."Where can you buy the Step 2 Naturally Playful Big Folding Slide ? You can buy this Slide from Amazon.

Leave me a message and I will grant you 3 wishes. - Just kidding but I would love to hear from you.
