Syma S108/S108g R/C Helicopter

Updated on April 18, 2014

Perfect For Beginners!

The Syma s108g mini r/c helicopter is designed to be powerful and durable. It's thick plastic exterior can handle crash after crash without breaking to bits (believe me, I've tested this theory) and because it's plastic, it actually looks like a real helicopter. It's made for beginners so it's very easy for children to control. But it also has tons of power for advanced users to have fun with. And it's hovering capabilities? Well, it sits so still, it could be hanging from a string!

Let me tell you, I have a hard time with anything that requires a remote but even I can fly this. And by the end of the first day, I could actually fly it without crashing into anything (except the floor, because it's too big to miss). But even with my crashing, I still haven't broken anything yet (and I'm unusually proud of that! lol).

If you know someone in the military (or a kid that loves anything soldier or army), they'd love this. It seriously looks just like the real thing! Between this and a couple of toy soldiers, any young boy would be kept busy with their imagination for hours.

About the s108/s108g

  • It's 8 inches long and weighs 1 pound
  • It's 3.5 channel means it flies in every direction (up, down, right, left, forward and reverse) and it corrects itself in flight.
  • Flies up to a 30 foot radius
  • Fly 7-10 minutes after a 30-40 minute charge
  • It has a thick plastic exterior, so it's very durable.
  • This copter is perfect for teasing dogs and cats.

Replacement Parts For Syma s108g R/C Heli

I know the perfect copter would be one that never broke, but I'm pretty sure if that one ever gets built, it won't be this affordable. But don't worry. The parts are super cheap (even cheap enough for me to get a set for each of my nephews). The parts set below contains all the parts that have the best chance of breaking.

This replacement parts set for the Syma s108g includes 2 main Upper blades, 2 main lower blades, 1 Balance Bar, 1 Connect buckle, 1 set of Upper Main Grips and 1 Tail Blade (Rear Rotor ).

Although the full replacement parts set above contains the usual parts that break, it doesn't contain everything you might need. Below you'll find the single parts that don't usually break. These are cheap enough for me to recommend buying just in case (that way if something does break, you don't have to wait forever for the parts to be shipped).
