The American Bible Challenge Game

Updated on August 29, 2015

Bible Games

As a young girl I knew what it was like to be "quizzed" on Bible history. Every week we would have a quiz or test on the things we had learned in Sunday School. Ordinarily that wouldn't be such big deal, but you see, the teacher happened to be my mom. All week long she would drill me on the things that might be on test. Believe me, being her daughter didn't gain me any points and as a matter of fact, I think she graded me a bit harder actually.

When I wasn't studying for the tests in Sunday School, I was studying as a substitute for the church quiz team. Being on the team meant you had to know the Bible inside and out. Basically it was Bible trivia where we had to memorize entire chapters of the Bible. It's amazing how much I still remember from those days.

I would take 3 x 5 index cards and cut them in half. One side would have the question and the other side the answer. The stacks were sometimes up to six inches deep on things I would need to remember about the Bible. I wish this game was around back then; it surely would have helped my learning strategies, but would also make it more fun.

One thing that still intrigues kids today is trivia, and Bible trivia is making a big hit in the minds and market of both child and parent.

The American Bible Challenge Game has been around for a few years now, and is gaining momentum. Churches, colleges, schools, and religious industries are all getting in on the action of showing off their skills in Bible knowledge. If you want your teams to stay on top, you have to be prepared with the right answers and be quick to respond also. No slackers here. You snooze you lose when it comes to having the Word of God coming out of your mouth.

Coaches and team leaders can download this game on their Android right now to help teams prepare for their own competitions.

About the Game

Based on the new GSN game show, The American Bible Challenge game is gaining fast momentum among churches, schools, colleges and families as they compete for the top place in Bible trivia.

With each level harder questions are asked, making the challenge more riveting. There are four types of question categories that cover the entirety of the Bible. A correct answer takes you to a new level, while wrong answers will direct you back into specific chapters of the Bible to help you find the right responses to the questions. Download the app now and start playing the hottest Bible game on television.

Bible Challenging Teams - A Good Way to Train

I have taught in many platforms over the years and in several schools. When I first began teaching full time I taught in a Christian high school. Several of my students were on the quiz team in their church and would practice during breaks and after school drilling one another.

One team had a sophisticated machine that would time them, light up and beep for correct or incorrect answers. The problem with that sort of system is that once the kids learned all the questions, they were no longer challenged to learn new material. This is where I wished that this game had been around to keep the kids fresh and diverse in the things they learned about the Bible.

The American Bible Challenge game is a great way to reinforce the Word of God, but also an accurate game to help train anyone in the Word. It's a good reinforcement tool for those who are active on quiz teams in their church or school.

If you have even been on a debate team or one that tests your knowledge, you know it can get really intense. This new game hosted by Jeff Foxworthy is positive and encouraging. The show has three teams which compete for their favorite charity for a specific amount of money. It is a great way for anyone to stay in top form for the challenges they may face in life, but also for keeping fit in training Bible quiz teams.
