The Game Of Life

Updated on October 14, 2012

My Favorite Toy

This game was my favorite when I was growing up. I'm not really sure why, but I think it may have been because I'm quite the daydreamer. It was always fun to pretend to get a different job, get married, have kids, retire, and all the other things that go along with real life. I didn't always win when I played, but I enjoyed it every time. If I could find someone to play with me these days, I'd still play.

Of course, real life is never quite like this game was, but you don't always have to live in reality. You just need to make sure you're grounded there.

I'm a Monopoly fan but my husband prefers Trivial Pursuit. I was never any good at that.

I've never played it but have always wanted to. Might be a good Christmas present for my two.

In the early nineties my kids were hooked on the Game of Life. It was fun to hear them play. It reminded me of when I played it in the late fifties, early sixties.

For some reason I don't think I've ever played the game Life. I'll have to check it out when my kids get old enough to play. My favorite game was Monopoly.

I still play the Game of Life, but on the computer. My son and I get on two different computers and challenge each other. Love it!

our youngest daughter loved Life and we played at least once a night for years - I am not sure how many games she wore out - but just last Christmas we bought her a new game (she is now 24) and sure enough we all played until the wee hours of the morning
