I enjoy painting fantasy art, going to art shows, creating delicious dishes, being with my grandkids, taking walks, and reading good books.

The Best Toddler Slides for your Active Child

The best toddler slide for your active young child is one that keeps them busy, happy and safe. When my grandsons were young they were on the move all the time. A toddler slide gave them the opportunity to climb, slide, crawl under and over objects and so much more!

My grandsons would play and take turns going up and sliding down, laughing all the time. I saw them learning how to share and take turns which is important to a parent or grandparent. They sure play hard burning up lots of toddler energy!

I remember years ago that my sons also had a toddler slide from the age of two and three, yes they were a year apart, that lasted well into their grade school years. When they were older and no longer using the small slide, it still was in good condition so we gave it to a neighbor who had a toddler.

Toddlers are always on the go and a toy such as this sturdy slide give them hours of playtime fun.

A toddler castle as shown in here is made of durable plastic and is easy to assemble once it arrives. It can also be moved easily around in the backyard or brought inside in the event of bad weather or even darkness in the evening. If you have a larger playroom for your toddler, you could leave this toddler slide set up indoors and place a larger toddler slide outdoors.

This toddler slide by Little Tikes also comes in a larger size that comes with the slide, climbing options and a swing. Have this slide delivered right to your door with by purchasing online. Why worry about how to get this large item home in your car? As soon as it arrives, it is easy to put together and your toddler child is ready to play.

The Best Climber for Motor Skills

One of the best climbers for developing gross motor skills is the Little Tikes Outdoor Climber. Little Tikes is a brand that all parents know and can trust. I bought one of these climbers for my sons years ago and now have bought this brand for my grandsons. Their toys are made of durable and brightly colored material that is safe for your toddler and youngster.

Talk about hours and hours of active play! There is a variety of styles of slides and climbers by Little Tikes. Some a basic slides that fold up when not in use and others are large structures that include play areas that the toddler can crawl into, over and under. Some have themes as well for both boys and girls. Anyone style of these slides and climbers would be a great choice.

My grandsons love to climb up and slide down over and over again on their toddler slide. All this physical play develops strong muscles and gross motor skills too. The youngsters may just think they are playing and having fun, but us adults know that active play is important for their healthy development.

As you can see, this keeps your active toddler busy while they practice important developmental skills. A toddler loves to run, move and climb so this toy is perfect for them. They will love playing with a slide by themselves or with their siblings and friends.

Toddlers are developing gross motor skills through active play; therefore, a toddler is very active and a toy like a this slide will keep them busy for hours. They come just as a slide or as a whole package that includes swings, climbers, tunnels, and built in toys. This Little Tikes toddler slide folds for easy storage and use indoors.

Which is the Most Popular Slide

Perfect for Ages 1 to 8

The most popular toddler slide is made especially for children ages 14 months through 8 years. The Step2 Folding Slide is made with strong construction that will last through hours of playtime by active toddlers and young children. It is just the perfect size for toddlers up to children through age 8.

It is made of a nice natural colored plastic that looks great outside in the backyard and is designed to fold up to store away when not in use. If you have room indoors, this slide can be moved inside when the weather does not allow the kids to be outside. Since children hate being cooped up inside, this is just one of many great features of this folding toddler slide.

Parents and Grandparents who live either in snow country in the winter or the heat of the desert southwest in the summer will love this feature. If anyone has lived with or has now a toddler at home (I had two at the same time!), then you know keeping them busy when the weather is bad outside is important or they get cranky and miserable. This slide is worth its weight!

Toddler Sports Climber

As mentioned, toddlers are active and busy as many parents and grandparent are aware. Toddlers need stimulation and toys that provide a variety of play opportunities also give toddlers motor and thinking skills. A toddler toy such as this sports climber and slide creates that environment where growing children learn through play.

This Step2 All Star Sports Climber comes with steps to climb up and a slide to slide down, but also has attachments for sports activities. My grandsons love the added features such as basketball, football and soccer with junior size balls for their little hands and feet. They learn to shoot, toss and kick balls with this sports climber.

This is also a great outdoor toy to teach social play. Toddlers and young children will learn to take turns playing with the balls and sliding on the slide. This is an important skill to cooperative play that children will learn when playing with friends and classmates. It is also a great toddler slide for large families. There is something for everyone with this toy.

Toddler Fun

A perfect first birthday gift or toy to buy to keep at grandma's house. Our young grandchild loves running outside to play with the toddler slide we have for him when he visits.

A Perfect Indoor Slide

For those families who have active, busy toddlers a portable lightweight slide is a great all-in-one activity gym that will keep a very mobile toddler busy for hours and hours. Slides such as the Panda, Step2 Climber and Little Tikes smaller slide can be set up indoors with little effort.

A toddler slide can be set up in a playroom or even their bedroom during days the weather is either too cold or too hot outside. As you probably know, a toddler does not stop moving just because the bad weather keeps them indoors. Living in the heat of the American Southwest, I only know this too well when my young grandson is kept inside for months at a time during the summer!

A tunnel, archway, slide and stairs make the perfect indoor activity gym for toddlers as young as 12 months. It is designed with the toddler in mind so everything is size proportioned for them. They can practice their gross motor skills of climbing, crawling and sliding.

Grandparents of young toddlers consider ordering one of these indoor slides for when your little one visits. This toddler slide is easy for an adult to set up; very minimal assembly which makes this climber slide easy to move inside and out. Order online and have it delivered right to your door; how good can it get?

Are you the proud parent or grandparent of a toddler? When they go outdoors or to the park, what is their favorite toy they run to right away? As you noticed, I said "run" not walk. As you know, toddlers only have 1 speed which is fast!

I had one. We bought it for my oldest daughter when she was 2. It lasted though all my kids and we passed it onto my neice and nephew. It's as good as it was the day we bought it and it's 21 years old now. No color fade at all. The only thing we replaced was the rope on the swing.
