Top Gifts for Toddlers that Love Music

Updated on November 3, 2015

Toddlers love music which makes musical gifts for toddlers the perfect choice

When music plays many toddlers can't resist tapping their feet, bobbing their head or out and out dancing to the beat. If this sounds like a toddler in your life then a musical gift is a great choice for them. Most toddlers love music and it is important to foster that interest. Music has many benefits for a young mind. A strong exposure to sensory environments such as music and song will actually increase the amount of neural pathways in a young child's brain. The child will more likely excel at music if exposed at an early age. Both listening to music as well as experimenting with musical toys and instruments are beneficial. There are so many benefits to making music a part of your toddler's life that a musically oriented present is not only fun but one that could benefit your child for the rest of their life. Plus it's just plain fun!

Toddler Music Toy Band

A toddler music band is a kit of several different fun instruments. A set of music instruments is a must for every child and would make a wonderful present for a toddler. This particular set includes a xylophone, sea drum, and three musical shapes that have beads and bells. They're very sturdy instruments which is important because many of the wooden sets or cheaper plastic end up breaking over time. It is BPA free, lead free and phythlate free. The music band includes a storage box to keep everything together.

Toddler Piano

Just imagine your child's expression when they see this beautiful brightly colored piano sitting in their playroom! Not only is it an impressive and exciting gift for a toddler but it's at an afford cost. It will help your child grow and learn while they have tons of fun. The toddler piano has 2 full octaves and 25 keys. Each is colored coded to go along with the included illustrated songbook that will teach your child to play songs on their piano. According to WHO (world health orsaiagintion) and newborn or neonate is a child who is 28 days or younger. So a newborn is a newborn for the 1st 4 weeks. An infant is between 1 month to between 1-3 years depending on the source. I personally consider an infant an infant until they start toddling, then they become a toddler (walking). +3Was this answer helpful?

Great ideas. I always try to give my nieces and nephews music gifts...I don't think their parents are fans though.

Music is so educational. We bought my daughter a xylophone and she just loves banging on it (yes, it's more of a banging than actual playing, lol). Hubby is eyeing a guitar next but perhaps in another year or so.

It wouldn't be our home without some sort of music going on in the background. I'm glad you included hand bells; they are one of my favorites.

Good lens idea! My two-year-old likes to hit bongo drums that cost about $35 from Musicians Friend. She also will play whistles my wife makes out of bamboo, she'll play our piano some, and I let her strum my acoustic guitar a little also. All our kids (I have four) love musical instruments, and my wife and I both play more than one.

They all did love musical toys when they were little. Plus, they each play different instruments as adults. I love listening to my kids make music at every age...and they just keep getting better. Love these toys! :)

This is a lovely selection! My husband's little 2 1/2 year old grandson has shown an interest in my piano (right now I can't let him play with it since he's still a little rough on things and it isn't an easy piano to repair if something happens to it). But if he still seems interested in this in a couple of months, we'll be getting him a toy piano. I love music, so if I can help a little one learn to appreciate it as well, then I'll have done at least something to contribute to his creativity bank!

Mine are all way beyond being toddlers now, but I think introducing them to music, not just listening to but also playing, is an essential and fun part of learning. Drume are easy to make - boxes, tins etc, anything that will make a noise. For a guitar - a rubber band. You can make amazing sounds with a comb/paper as well.

Love it that you focused on music, never too young to instill that "ear for notes/tunes" in the young developing minds. Great lens Melissa!

Yes, Ava has a little piano that plays songs with the push of a key. She loves to bop her head along to the music.
