With so many products to select from, I really didn't know what I was looking for in the way of a good baby toy. I did know that I wanted it to be a toy that would promote sensory development and be interactive. It would also have to be something that wouldn't just get put in the pile of other toys, but would be something my new nephew (and my niece) would like and encourage learning.

My niece was about one month away from her due date when I began looking for a gift for her new baby boy that was soon to make his debut. I went from store to store and even looked on the internet for something that met my requirements, when I came across the Topsy Turtle toy for babies.

What I liked right away was how colorful it was and that it has a variation of textures in materials. It was appealing to the eye, lightweight and versatile. This precious toy is transportable easily going from crib, playpen, stroller, baby bag or car seat making it a toy that has many uses.

At home your baby can play with it without being attached as an interactive learning device. Besides its bright colors, the legs have a crinkly sound, it is also a rattle and has a ring to attach it to anything you would like. Even more fun is the mirror on this four legged green friend for playing peek-a-boo. It is recommended for ages from birth to age two and makes a great gift for a boy or girl.

My nephew decided his arrival date was to be two weeks early, but thankfully I had already found this for him. The Topsy Turtle turned out to be a good choice for our little fellow and my niece!
