Finds From Ebay - Someone Elses Treasure

Updated on January 24, 2015

One Man's Stuff - Another Man's Treasure

his lens is truly what Ebay is all about; getting rid of that extra stuff that someone else probably could use. If we are not using it, we need to move it on.

I find eBay a excellent source for used books, jewelry and music. Throughout this lens I will share items I have purchased (on eBay), some in thrift shops and will offer a few for bid. So, grab a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy your visit.

In my teens, in receive a old antique sterling silver mechanical pencil (listed below on e-Bay). It is very unique. The pencil extends out to a 12" ruler. The pencil still has some pencil lead in it. I believe I have identified the designed of the pencil via the patent information listed at the US Patent Office.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you enjoy your visit.

Someone left this behind, intentionally or otherwise, in the clubhouse where I live. Size 7. Felt Made in USA.

A cool e-Bay find. Costume jewelry. One neckless marked "Trifari" - nice and has value.

Sterling Silver Marcasite

Looks Like A Musketeers' Hat To Me.

Lady's Pin. From my mother-in-law's estate. Approximately "1940?" marked .925 sterling silver with marcasite stones.

Celestial Pin

Celestial Pin. There is a "diamond" like stone in top and one at the bottom. This picture does not do it justic because of glare. It has a locking "c" clasp.

A passion for costume jewelry.

Flower Pin - Got this beauty on e-Bay. Paid about $7 plus shipping. I do not believe it is very old, looking at the metal it is made of. It has a locking "c" clasp. I love costume jewelry and this has the flare. It has 13 lavender cute baguette stones on the outside and 13 on the inside. There are 13 clear "diamond like" stones around the center and a total of 13 scattered within the center. 13 was this designer's number

Trinket Boxes

I am saving one for my granddaughter!

I found these two trinket boxes in a thrift store. They are both in excellent condition. From what I understand, the sheep (Serta Sheep character) orginally came with a baby sheep.

I am offering the Serta Sheep on E-bay at this lens (sold 12/8/08)

Crystal Bear Paper Weight

Very cute and solid! Label still in tact. Nybro (Sweden) 1985.

From my Camel Joe collect. What to see more, go to my Camel Joe lens.

Class Ring - Cleveland High School

Found this in an apartment when my husband and I were managing apartments. It is 24k gold. Not sure if the stone is real.

Truly One of a Kind

Where do you find your valuables? I loved to watch the Antique Road Show to see what amazing things people came across; garage sales can turn up some interesting things as well.

Maybe you will find silver at a garage sale.... you just never know.

Old Picture Frame.

This old picture and frame I got in a thrift store. What facisnated me was the frame because it is layered. I believe it to be layers of paper or cardboard pressed into a frame. It is then coated with something a little thicker and painted. It does have glass over the picture. I cannot tell from looking at the front if it is a painting or print. The back still has its original paper cover over the frame but is deteriorating.

My Junk Is Your Junk If You Pay Me for It!

I have a lot of useless junk in my house and I want to have money to buy new better junk that won't become useless for at least another 5 minutes. I enjoy sorting through my junk multiple times and then sitting around all day trying to convince strangers that it has great worth to them even though to me personally it is, alas, junk. I especially love to haggle over a fiddy-cent price difference.

Tile - Egypt Theme

I only found this one tile at a thrift store. The contents is like "chalk" but it is well done. If anyone knows anything about this tile, I would appreciate hearing from you.

Where Are The Doggies?

HOT DOG - Found this is a thrift shop. Dogzilla copy write "Candace Reiter Designs" Great shape, excellent color. Paid $2. Make a cute wall hanging or trivet.

Can you guess what this is? Clue: It was liquid at one time.

What Am I?

My husband thought it was a unique wall hanging. If you think you know what this is, please share your thoughts at the GUEST AREA below.

Cup and Saucer

I just love cup and saucer sets. I like to have a set at the office to have my coffee or tea in. It makes the coffee break special.

A trick a co-worker of mine uses is to look for items that are spelled incorrectly. No one bids on the items because they don't find it.

Interesting finds. Have you seen Weird Al's video about eBay? You'll find it on my page Buying or Selling on eBay. It is quite funny.

Hello blue22, I'm Tipi's sister and saw you over there & took a free ride over. "Treasure" is what I call my husband, so Treasure - Someone Elses attracted me just by the title. We are sure to watch Antiques Roadshow every Monday night and enjoy looking through antique shops and have found a few little treasures of our own that really don't have much value except that we like them. Goodwill usually gets what we decide to 'share', I've not figured out E-Bay yet--perhaps one day. I am curious about what your mystery item is, that it was once liquid adds to the confusion.
