About The Trollz

In Case You're New!

Trollz is an American animated television series about the adventures of five fictional teenage girls, who call themselves the Best Friends for Life BFFL) and who use magic to help them with their everyday life, battling magical creatures or dealing with any other problems that come their way. They're based on the troll doll created in the 1960s which became one of the biggest fads in the world.

The Backstory

Three thousand years ago, all Trollz lived happily in the world of Trollzopolis where magic was just a part daily life. Magic was used for transportation, communication and entertainment. That all came to an end when most of the Trollz' magic was stolen by an evil gremlin named Simon. Simon used this stolen magic for his own plan to take over the world.

Fortunately, five young apprentice Trollz and their mentors rose up and formed a group which sealed Simon away forever and prevented the destruction of the world.

Unfortunately, though, residue of Simon's magic lingered and there was little magic left in Trollzopolis. As a result, in order to stop another magic war, only female Trollz were still able to cast magic, using special items known as spellbeads. These spellbeads are received the day their gems, made of magical amber placed in their bellybuttons at birth, begin to glow.

The modern Trollzopolis is a bustling city in which citizens rely on cars, Spell Phones, and other gadgets in their daily lives. One grim day, five young Trollz girls (Amethyst, Ruby, Sapphire, Topaz, and Onyx) accidentally release Simon from his dimensional prison after they unwittingly use the Magic of the Five. Now, the five girls must find a way to banish Simon back to his prison and prevent him from taking over the present-day Trollzopolis.
