VTech InnoTab Games

The VTech InnoTab will allow games and eBooks to be downloaded from a website via a USB cable connected to a PC.

It also supports games cartridges and there will be a range of VTech games available to buy on cartridges.

At launch there will be a range of top titles available featuring children's favorite characters from TV shows and movies.

- Disney/Pixar's Cars 2

- Disney Fairies

- Disney Princess

- Dora the Explorer

- Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

- SpongeBob Squarepants

- Disney/Pixar's Toy Story

Behind The Scenes with VTech's InnoTab

Kelli from VTech's Product Development talks about the InnoTab's features and how it was developed.

InnoTab's E.Reader & More! - Video

An interesting video by one of the InnoTab story writers which explains how the eBooks are created and how children use them.

VTech InnoTab vs LeapPad Explorer

The VTech InnoTab will be competing directly with the LeapPad Explorer this Christmas. They are quite similar consoles. Same screen size, aimed at the same age group.

The InnoTab is cheaper than the LeapPad Explorer which will be an important factor for some. The camera and video recorder on the LeapPad will be a major plus for some (no need for the separate camera or video camera which VTech would like you to buy!)

LeapPad owners will have access to the catalog of existing LeapPad explorer games which is pretty extensive. The InnoTab does boast some popular game titles at launch though. The games that your child is interested in will be a key factor.

My 2 youngest daughters got this for Christmas. Buying an AC adapter so you can plug it in and play while at home would be a good idea...it drains batteries extremely fast!
