Wooden Fingerboard Ramps and Halfpipes

Updated on October 2, 2014

Wooden fingerboard ramps and halfpipes from Tech Deck and Blackriver

If you are looking for the best wooden fingerboard ramps you have come to the right place.

I have made a great selection of wooden fingerboards on this page. Companies such as Tech Decks and Black River are making many new products at the moment and improving more each day.

More and more people are looking for a more realistic experience. Companies such as Tech Deck are now improving the fingerboard craze with high quality wooden decks, ramps and halfpipes.

The big skateboard companies are all approving with names like Tom Penny, Santa Cruz, Birdhouse, Alien Workshop and many more bringing out the coolest designs. The Tech Deck 'Wooden Collectors Series' has a full range made from 100% Canadian maple wood.

Designed to scale, here you can now find some very well made ramps to build your very own skate park.

Why to start fingerboarding with wooden decks and ramps

If you are a skateboard fan then you will know that skateboarding isn't always possible. Unless you are lucky enough to have an indoor skatepark nearby, skating is a no go in the rain or bad weather.

Serious Skateboarders also get regular injuries. A broken ankle can leave you depressed and dreaming about skateboarding for months.

Maybe you are still not quite skilled enough to attempt an ollie down that set of 8 stairs or to drop in on that vert ramp.

If you find yourself in any of the predicaments above then Fingerboarding is your answer. Pick your favorite skate brand (as many have sponsored fingerboard decks) and off you go. Start with the basics just like in skating, learn how to ollie, kick flip and soon you'll be just as good as any pro skater. Good wooden decks and ramps are a great way to get started.

The high quality wooden products available now are really becoming popular for a more realistic fingerboarding experience.

All but one of these wooden fingerboard ramps are made by Black River Ramps.

Beautifully made with great care, they are 100% real wood. The coping is metal to give a perfect fingerboard experience. The nicest thing about skating with these is that you don't get the nasty plastic sound when fingerboarding.

These ramps unfortunately are not available yet on Amazon in the U.S but you can check shipping costs from Amazon U.K here.

Ramps are very low on stock, so although they are quite expensive please bear in mind that we cannot guarantee how long they will be available for.

I had to check out this lens, because I'd never heard of a fingerboard before! Kind of bizarre and cool. Thanks.
