LIGHT monsters are awesome additions to any Deck that are known for their high ATK, nasty effects, and more! LIGHT monsters have unique effects that work with other LIGHT monsters or just knock out the competition. If you want awesome cards in your Deck, then you should take a look at some LIGHT Monsters. Yugioh is a fun game to play, and with the right cards in your Deck, you can't lose!
Black Luster Soldier-Envoy of the Beginning
Black Luster Soldier-Envoy of the Beginning is a strong Level 8 LIGHT monster with 3000 ATK and 2500 DEF. Black Luster Soldier-Envoy of the Beginning gives you a lot of options for effects. You can either banish 1 monster on the field or have this card attack an additional time if it successfully destroyed one of your opponent's monsters by battle. If you use the first effect, then Black Luster Soldier-Envoy of the Beginning cannot declare an attack that turn. However, you can also have the potential of having Black Luster Soldier-Envoy of the Beginning attacking twice on the same turn.

The Creator is a Level 8 LIGHT Monster with 2300 ATK and 3000 DEF. Once per turn, you can select 1 monster in your Graveyard. Then, by discarding 1 card from your hand, you can Special Summon the selected monster from your Graveyard. The Creator can still declare an attack on the turn it uses this effect, and so can the Special Summoned monster. The Creator is a great card to use to bring back monsters from the Graveyard. However, The Creator cannot be Special Summoned, but that is only a small price to pay for an awesome card.
Ancient Crimson Ape
Ancient Crimson Ape is a Level 7 LIGHT monster with 2600 ATK and 1800 DEF. So, with those stats alone, Ancient Crimson Ape is very strong. However, when one of your monsters is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you gain 1000 life points. Imagine your opponent destroying one of your monsters and giving you 1000 life points!
Marshmallon is a Level 3 Effect Monster with 300 ATK and 500 DEF. This Level 3 monster cannot be destroyed by battle whatsoever, and if your opponent attacks this SET card, he/she loses 1000 life points. Imagine making your opponent lose 1000 life points while not losing a monster at all! That is a big advantage because you just took out 25% of your opponent's life points (assuming that everyone starts with 4000 life points).
Shining Angel is a Level 4 LIGHT Fairy-Type monster with 1400 ATK and 800 DEF. Along with the decent stats, Shining Angel has a great effect. When Shining Angel is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower LIGHT monster from your Deck to your side of the field in Attack Position. You get an extra monster, and your opponent will have to get though another monster before he/she can attack directly.
Rainbow Dragon is a Level 10 LIGHT Dragon-Type monster with 4000 ATK and 0 DEF that can only be Special Summoned if you have 7 Crystal Beast monsters with different names on your side of the field and/or in your Graveyard. Rainbow Dragon cannot activate any of its effect on the turn it is Special Summoned, but you can use these effects during either players' turn. You can send all Crystal Beast monsters on your side of the field to the Graveyard to give Rainbow Dragon a 1000 ATK boost times the number of Crystal Beasts sent to the Graveyard by this effect. Then, you can banish all Crystal Beast monsters in your Graveyard to send all cards on the field back to the owners' Decks.
Kuraz The Light Monarch
Kuraz The Light Monarch is a Level 6 LIGHT Warrior-Type monster with 2400 ATK and 1000 DEF that allows you destroy up to 2 cards on your opponent's side of the field when Kuraz The Light Monarch is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned. For each of your opponent's cards destroyed by this effect, your opponent draws 1 card. Kuraz The Light Monarch cannot attack on the turn it is Normal Summoned or Special Summoned, so you might as well use its effect.
Lightray Madoor is a Level 6 monster with 1200 ATK and 3000 DEF that can be Special Summoned from your hand when 3 or more of your LIGHT monsters are banished. Lightray Madoor provides high DEF, but a weak ATK for a Level 6 monster, and Lightray Madoor cannot be destroyed by battle once per turn. With 3000 DEF, you won't have to worry about Lightray Madoor getting destroyed by battle anytime soon.
Lightray Daedalus is a Level 7 monster with 2600 ATK and 1900 DEF that cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Lightray Daedalus cannot be Special Summoned except when you have 4 or more LIGHT monsters in your Graveyard. When you have Lightray Daedalus on your side of the field, you can destroy 1 Field Spell Card and 2 other cards on the field once per turn. Lightray Daedalus provides high ATK and when you need cards to be destroyed, all you need is a Field Spell Card.
Lightray Grepher is a Level 4 monster with 1700 ATK and 1600 DEF that can be Special Summoned from your hand by discarding 1 Level 5 or higher LIGHT monster from your hand. Once per turn, you can discard 1 LIGHT monster from your hand to banish 1 LIGHT monster from your Deck. I recommend choosing the LIGHT monster at the bottom of the Deck, and this way, you won't lose a monster at the top of your Deck, and now you can play Lightray monsters easier.

Lightray Sorcerer is a Level 7 monster with 2300 ATK and 2000 DEF that cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Lightray Sorcerer cannot be Special Summoned except when you have 3 or more LIGHT monsters banished. Once per turn, you can return 1 banished LIGHT monster to your Deck to banish 1 face-up monster on the field.
Lightray Diabolos is a Level 7 monster with 2800 ATK and 1000 DEF that cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Lightray Diabolos cannot be Special Summoned except when you have 5 or more LIGHT monsters with different names in your Graveyard. Once per turn, you can banish 1 LIGHT monster from your Graveyard to target 1 Set card on the field, reveal it, and return it to the top or bottom of the owner's Deck.
Lightray Gearfried is a Level 8 monster with 2800 ATK and 2200 DEF that cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Lightray Gearfried cannot be Special Summoned except when you have 5 or more LIGHT monsters in your Graveyard with different names. Once per turn, when a Spell/Trap Card's effect is activated, you can banish 1 Warrior-Type monster from your Graveyard to negate the activation of that card and destroy it. All of the Monster Cards you control must be Warrior-Types for you to resolve this effect.
Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke
Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke is a Level 4 monster with 1800 ATK and 1000 DEF that can destroy any face-up Defense Position monster without applying damage calculation. If your opponent has a strong Defense Position monster, then Ninja Grandmaster Sasuke is the card that will slice that monster into pieces.
Stardust Xialong is a Level 1 monster with 200 ATK and 100 DEF who unlike Stardust Dragon is a LIGHT monster. When Stardust Dragon is Special Summoned, you can Special Summon Stardust Xialong to your side of the field in face-up Attack Position. Stardust Xialong was meant to help out with Majestic Dragon to Special Summon Majestic Star Dragon, but Stardust Xialong has more uses. Once per turn, when Stardust Xialong would be destroyed by battle, it is not destroyed.

Chaos Command Magician
Chaos Command Magician is a Level 6 monster with 2400 ATK and 1900 DEF that is unaffected by the effects of all Monster Cards. That effect may seem simple, but Man Eater Bug, Justice Bringer (when Chaos Command Magician is Special Summoned), and Swarm of Scarabs do not work against Chaos Command Magician.
Skilled White Magician
Skilled White Magician is a Level 4 monster with 1700 ATK and 1900 DEF that gets a Spell Counter each time your opponent activates a Spell Card (maximum of 3 Spell Counters). When Skilled White Magician has 3 Spell Counters, you can Tribute this card during your Main Phase to Special Summon 1 Buster Blader from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. Skilled White Magician may only have 1700 ATK and 1900 DEF, but with Skilled White Magician, you can easily Special Summon a monster with 2600 ATK that gains 500 ATK for each Dragon-Type monster on your opponent's side of the field or in your opponent's Graveyard.
Honest is a Level 4 monster with 1100 ATK and 1900 DEF that can be sent from your side of the field to your hand once per turn during your Main Phase. When a LIGHT monster you control is involved in a battle, you can discard this card from your hand to give the LIGHT monster ATK equal to the opponent's monster's ATK. If an opponent's monster with 2800 ATK attacks a LIGHT monster with 1200 ATK, you can discard Honest from your hand to make that LIGHT monster's ATK become 4000. Now your opponent is losing life points instead of the other way around.
Trident Warrior is a Level 4 monster with 1800 ATK and 1200 DEF. When Trident Warrior is Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 Level 3 monster from your hand. If that Level 3 monster is a Tuner, you can Synchro Summon a Level 7 monster right away, or if you have a Level 3 monster and/or a Level 4 monster on your side of the field, you can XYZ Summon a Rank 3 and/or Rank 4 XYZ Monster right away. Trident Warrior is also strong with its 1800 ATK, and being able to play another monster on your side of the field can give you a lot of ATK power against your opponent.
ZW-Lightning Blade is a Level 5 monster with 1200 ATK and 2000 DEF that can be equipped to a Utopia monster from your hand or side of the field. The equipped monster gains 1200 ATK. While this card is equipped to a monster, face-up ZW cards you control cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effect. If a monster equipped with this card would be destroyed by a card effect, this card is destroyed instead. You can only control 1 ZW-Lightning Blade, but when you do have this card on your side of the field, you can make 1 Utopia monster even stronger and protect your other ZW monsters.
