Yugioh Spell Cards

In the game of Yugioh, Spell Cards are valuable cards that have been dominating in the game. Spell Cards (also called Magic Cards) make your opponent lose life points, destroy cards on the field, bring back cards from the Graveyard, and more! Spell Cards are a vital part to any Deck that help you win more duels.

Monster Reborn

With this awesome Spell Card, you can bring back a monster from either player's Graveyard. No matter what Level that monster is, Monster Reborn will bring that monster back and add it to your side of the field where attacking your opponent with strong monsters couldn't have been easier.

Mystical Space Typhoon

Mystical Space Typhoon is a classic Spell Card that is still in high demand. This Quick Play Spell Card has the power to target and destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field. Destroying your opponent's Spell and Trap Cards couldn't have been easier than using a Mystical Space Typhoon.

United We Stand

United We Stand is an Equip Spell Card that will make the equip monster have tons of ATK and DEF. The equipped monster gains 800 ATK and DEF for each monster on the field including itself. So, if the equipped monster is the only one that you control, then it gains 800 ATK and 800 DEF. When I use this card on Obsidian Dragon, I usually have 5 monsters on my side of the field giving Obsidian Dragon 4000 extra ATK and 4000 extra DEF as well as its sweet effect.

Lightning Vortex

Lightning Vortex is a Normal Spell Card that can do a lot of damage to your opponent's side of the field. By discarding 1 card from your hand, Lightning Vortex allows you to destroy all face-up monsters that your opponent controls! Wipe out your opponent's entire field of monsters right now with Lightning Vortex!

Heavy Storm

Combine this card with Lightning Vortex to make this the experience your opponent will never forget. When Heavy Storm, you can destroy every single Spell and Trap Card on the field-no excuses! Now, all your opponent has to protect himself/herself are Monster Cards while you can Set more Spell and Trap Cards on your side of the field. Get that big advantage today with Heavy Storm!

Meteor of Destruction

Meteor of Destruction is a Normal Spell Card that inflicts 1000 points of damage to your opponent. 1000 points is a ton of life points for your opponent to lose from one card. However, you cannot use Meteor of Destruction if your opponent has 3000 life points or less. So, striking early with Meteor of Destruction is a big advantage, but if you strike too late, your opponent will most likely not lose any life points.

Mage Power

Mage Power is an Equip Spell Card that boosts the ATK and DEF of 1 monster you control by 500 points for each Spell/Trap Card on your side of the field. Since Mage Power counts in the ATK/DEF total, the equipped monster will gain at least 500 ATK and 500 DEF. The equipped monster can gain up to 2500 ATK and 2500 DEF, and you could slaughter your opponent if a monster was equipped with both Mage Power and United We Stand.

One Day of Peace

One Day of Peace is a great card if you are in a sticky situation. When you use One Day of Peace, both players draw 1 card and nobody loses any life points at all until your opponent's End Phase. One Day of Peace is a great card to have, especially if your opponent has 5 monsters while you have none.

Ego Boost

Ego Boost is a Quick Play Spell Card that can be used to give your monster a little boost. Ego Boost increases the ATK of one monster by 1000 until the end of the Battle Phase. You can only use Ego Boost when a monster declares an attack.

Sebek's Blessing

Sebek's Blessing is a great card that you can use to gain life points, but how much you gain depends on the monster attacking and what is on the field. Sebek's Blessing is a Quick Play Spell Card that can only be used when one of your monsters attacks your opponent directly. When this happens, you can use Sebek's Blessing to gain life points equal to the Battle Damage inflicted to your opponent from that attack. The life points you gain can range from a 300 ATK monster to a 3000 ATK monster. The more ATK, the more damage, and the more gained life points.


De-Synchro is a Normal Spell Card that sends 1 Synchro monster on the field to the owner's Extra Deck. Since it isn't destroying the Synchro monster, Stardust Dragons cannot save themselves from this effect. If you have the Synchro Materials for that Synchro Monster in your Graveyard, then you can Special Summon them on your side of the field, but for your opponent...tough luck! Your opponent doesn't get any of his/her Synchro Materials back to his/her side of the field if you use De-Synchro on one of their monsters.

Shield and Sword

Shield and Sword is a classic Spell Card that swaps the ATK and DEF of every face-up monsters on the field. When you play a monster on your side of the field after you use Shield and Sword, that monster is unaffected by Shield and Sword. These changes ware off during the End Phase, so do what you have to do right away.

XYZ Energy

XYZ Energy is a Spell Card that can only be used when you control an XYZ Monster. By detaching 1 XYZ Material from an XYZ Monster that you control, you can destroy 1 card on your opponent's side of the field which is similar to Raigeki. Since XYZ Monsters are easy to play, XYZ Energy is the ideal card to use if you want to destroy a card on the field.

Axe of Despair

Axe of Despair is an Equip Spell Card that gives the equipped monster 1000 extra ATK points! 1000 extra ATK points makes the entire difference in a duel, and when Axe of Despair is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can Tribute 1 monster to put Axe of Despair back on the top of your Deck.

Harpie's Feather Duster

Harpie's Feather Duster is a Spell Card with a unique effect that is bound to spell disaster for your opponent. When you play Harpie's Feather Duster, you can destroy all of your opponent's Spell and Trap Cards while you still have some Spell and Trap Cards left to use on your opponent. Heavy Storm is a great card, but Harpie's Feather Duster is even better.

Creature Swap

Creature Swap is a Spell Card that allows you and your opponent to select 1 monster that they control and give it to their opponent. If your opponent only has Level 4 monsters, and you need one of them, use Creative Swap to swap away your less necessary Monster Card. Creature Swap does not target any cards because it is the owner's decision so unless control of a card cannot switch, you'll be getting a monster from your opponent.

Gives the equipped monster a 1000 ATK boost.



Riryoku is a Spell Card that allows you half the ATK of 1 monster on the field and then increase another monster's ATK on the field by the same amount. If you have a Blackwing-Gale The Whirlwind or Armored Bee at your disposal, you can half the ATK of an opponent's monster twice!

Star Changer

Star Changer is an awesome card for aiding in Synchro Summons and XYZ Summons. Star Changer allows you to increase or decrease the level of 1 monster by 1. At the same time, you can use this card to spoil your opponent's ideas of XYZ Summoning or Synchro Summoning the desired monster since this card is a Quick Play Spell Card.

Dimensional Fissure

Dimensional Fissure is a Continuous Spell Card with an effect that banishes any monster sent to the Graveyard. Many monsters have an effect that read, "When this card is destroyed by battle (or just destroyed) and sent to the Graveyard...." an effect activates. With Dimensional Fissure, you won't have to worry about any of those effects since those monsters never reach the Graveyard. Instead, they are banished. Light and Darkness Dragon is a great monster, but when sent to your Graveyard, this card can lead to misfortune. If this card never reaches the Graveyard, it is a great card without any risk involved.

Mystic Plasma Zone

Mystic Plasma Zone is a Field Spell Card that increases the ATK of all DARK monsters on the field by 500 ATK and decreases the DEF of all DARK monsters by 400 DEF. Mystic Plasma Zone is the perfect Field Spell Card (and Spell Card) to power up your DARK monsters.

Synchro Boost

Synchro Boost is an Equip Spell Card that boosts the ATK of the equipped monster by 500 points, and more importantly, increases the Level of the equipped monster by 1. With Synchro Boost, you have more flexibility with Synchro Summoning and XYZ Summoning the right monster that will give you an advantage in the duel. Synchro Boost is a great card that I believe should be in many Decks.
