Benefits of Folic Acid

Folic acid also known as Vitamin B it is water soluble and can be taken even when you are not pregnant because it has some great benefits including reducing the risk of having high blood pressure. It assists the body in creating new cells and folic acid is a vitamin B which means can be found in vitamin B complex supplements. The legal recommended dose for folic acid is 5mg a day which means only 1 tablet a day not more.

Benefits of Folic Acid

  • Folic Acid has antioxidants that help the body in fighting the toxins that cause acne therefore resulting in clearer skin
  • It is also said that it helps with firming the skin there aiding in wrinkles formation
  • Folic Acid promotes hair growth by aiding tissue growth

Folic acid is also used to treat other medical problems like depression, used to treat skin disease called vitiligo and it is also good in reducing the risks of getting pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer and breast cancer to name a few .

Folic Acid can be taken as a pill or can be found naturally in foods such as:

- Lentils - Potatoes

- Spinach - Sweet Potatoes

- Lettuce -Cabbage

- Black eyed beans - Broccoli

- Bread - Bananas

- Beef Liver - Peaches

- Nuts -Beetroot

- Egg yolks - Chicken giblets
