17 Bad Habits Cause Digestive Disorders With Treatments
Digestive Disorders became a common problem for many persons who don’t care about their eating habits. They think that these habits are normal lifestyle and no problem about doing something like that.
Anyway, here are 17 bad habits of eating and drinking which cause digestive disorders. You have to check yourself if you really do one or more of them. I briefed the wrong habit and offered a simple solution to give up.
1. Ignoring Chewing Food Well
You lose a lot by ignoring the well chewing of foods. Delight of eating food is coming from choosing the favored tastes. So, I wonder how many people lose this enjoyment and eat fast. This is about the desire of eating, what about the health benefits?
Chewing allows digesting enzymes in mouth to mix with food and ease the process of digesting after swallowing food. Ignoring chewing causes digestive problems.
Treatment: Chew food well for 30 – 50 times for each bite. Don’t worry, this process won’t take 20 seconds but its result will be very good. Be like French people, they take their meal in 30 minutes.
2. Drinking Tea after Eating
This action prevents the absorption of iron by Intestines. Of course, your body needs iron and this prevention may lead to anemia. I know that tea is very useful and activates the nerves but exaggeration of drinking tea may become harmful habit especially after eating.
Treatment: Drink tea in between meals. For example, drink it after/before meal by 1 hour at least. Your total consumption of tea shouldn’t exceed 3 cups a day.
Note: Don’t drink tea on an empty stomach. This may lead to stomach ulcers.

3. The Lazy Life
If you don’t make any type of sports, you then have to know that you are vulnerable. Ignoring fitness exercise or sports means an open invitation for many health troubles.
In many diet systems, doing exercises is not an option, it is must.
Treatment: Take 30 minutes a day to make any type of exercises. Walking, running, swimming or fitness exercises will be enough if you do it in regular basis.
4. Fried Recipes
You then have to delete a long list of recipes.
Basically, you have to know that all types of oils/fats (even it was unsaturated fat) became saturated after heat. Saturated fats are the main cause of arteriosclerosis and heart clots. They also activate cancer cells.
Treatment: Replace fried recipes by grilled and steamed ones.
5. Adding Salt To Meat Before Grilling
Salt absorbs the water of meat and then meat loses its vitamins and minerals, especially iron.
Treatment: Grill meat till end and then add salt.
6. Exaggeration Use of Spices
Each one of us tends to add a particular group of spices to foods and recipes. It is ok but use it moderately. Exaggeration use of spices leads to mucosal irritation of the stomach and make it more susceptible to infections and ulcers.
Treatment: The moderate use of spices.
7. Eating Uncooked Egg
Egg white consists of albumin protein which contains many beneficial amino acids. Problem is: digesting uncooked egg white is very hard. It works as an obstacle against the absorption of some of amino acids.
Treatment: Cooking egg converts it from hard into easy meal in digesting.
8. The frequent putting and taking food into and out of the fridge
This action opens a wide door for bad bacteria to wake up and work vigorously. Bacteria avails the difference of temperatures between in and out fridge, and then grows. Canned foods are the most vulnerable foods to bacteria, so you have to use it in short time.
Treatment: Prepare your meal and divide it into small servings. Use only the number you need of servings.
9. Cooking Foods on High Heat
High heat always destroys useful vitamins and enzymes of foods. Also, high heat of cooking may lead to create strange composition.
Treatment: Using low heat in cooking is very useful and keeps the taste of foods better than high heat.
10. Eating Only from One Group
You have 6 food groups, why do you insist on eating from one group? When you eat bread, potato and pasta together, your meal actually is full of carbohydrates. A meal like this is an incomplete meal. The exaggeration of one group leads to digestive disorders.
Treatment: Make sure that your meal is consisting of the 6 food groups. It is easy to do. Adding broccoli, olive oil and little sticks of lettuce to the previous meal will be great. Remove bread or pasta, or what you like to remove. Also, I recommend eating an apple or an orange 60 minutes before.
11. Eating Fruits After Meals Directly
Fruits are often full of sugar and it ferments foods and deactivates digesting process.
Treatment: Take fruits before meals by an hour or after meals by 3 hours at least.
12. Eating a lot of Pickles
Not only pickles you should reduce but all spicy foods, in fact. Spicy foods charge body with over need of salt and this leads to many diseases, digestive disorders is not the worst.
Treatment: Don’t remove pickles or spicy foods from your food list completely, because this is the main common reason to come back to them again. Instead, reduce quantity gradually.
13. Drinking water throughout meals
This is the nearest cause of digestive disorders. Drinking water frequently during meals disrupts digestive juices and then became less able to digest foods. This means fermenting for foods and then flatulence and gases.
Treatment: Best times for water are 30 minutes before meals or 60 minutes after.
14. Sugary Beverages
Beverages are full of sugar and preservatives, and this is very dangerous for body in general and cause obesity. Preservatives sometimes cause colic. Sugary beverages cause the fermenting of foods and then digestive system disorders.
Treatment: Replace beverages by fresh juices and smoothies. Personally, I prefer fresh fruits.
15. Coffee with Milk
Drinking coffee moderately is beneficial. Coffee refreshes heart, awakens nerves, catalyzes mental activities and works as a diuretic. But too much drinking of coffee causes nervous behavior, insomnia and digestive problems. Adding milk to coffee makes a complex mix which is very hard to digest.
Treatment: Drink black coffee moderately without sugar or milk.
16. Fast Foods Lifestyle
Most fast foods recipes focus on smell and taste, not adding healthful elements. They are full of fats and sodium, and many people followed it by soda drink. This equation equals a complete package of digestive system problems and obesity in the long run.
Treatment: Replace fast foods by healthy foods. Healthy foods are consists from the 6 food groups and mainly contain vegetables and fruits. Stop soda drinks and replace it by fresh juices or water.
17. The Immoderate Snacks
I like snacks so much. Snacks are necessary between meals and I recommend eating them basically in regular times. But snacks like donuts, French fries, ice cream or cheese cake are not snacks; on the contrary they are a big mess in intestines. Also, eating snacks irregularly confuses your digestive system.
Treatment: Make a special list of snacks which full of fruits, veggies, smoothies and healthy items. Keep taking them in regular times.
