Healthy food

Food that ensures optimal intake of calories, minerals, fluids and vitamins in the body is called healthy food. Its goal is not to throw everything we love from the menu and starve yourself, but to add to our body the necessary energy and a sense of vitality. Often, people define the concept of healthy eating as an "all or nothing". Healthy food shouldn't be seen as a punishment for our body but as an essential ingredient that will make our lives better and healthier.

Do not think that you will achieve anything if you suddenly change your food drastically. Such changes must be implemented gradually in order to see the best results. Invest in yourself time and effort and it will pay off.

With healthy food is essential to be as diverse as possible. There is food, which supersedes all that is needed to keep our bodies running normally. Although we all know that, somehow we ignore that fact.

Lemon

Vitamins C, A, B1, B6

Lemon is known for its antiseptic properties, especially against colds due to Vitamin C. A little lemon in green tea allows the body to better absorb the antioxidants that are found in tea, as well as iron from seafood. Lemon is one of the most useful foods on the planet. Lemon protects against so many diseases that it can rightly be called a super-food. Lemon is full of nutrients - contains bioflavonoids, pectin, folic acid, vitamins C, A, B1, B6, potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, manganese.

It has beneficial effects on the liver, intestine, stomach, immune, nervous and cardiovascular systems.

If you regularly eat lemons, you can prevent diseases such as laryngitis, bronchitis, flu, colds, arthritis, high blood pressure, bacterial infections, kidney stones and gallstones, according to the latest research and cancer!

There are lots of ways to incorporate this food into your daily menu. However, the simplest way is to everyday drink 1-2 glasses of lukewarm water with lemon.

Salmon, mackerel, tuna, trout

Omega-3 fatty acids

Fatty fish are one of the most important sources of natural fatty acid omega-3. Numerous studies have shown that eating them regularly reduces fatal heart attack, and to prevent the recurrence of heart attacks.

Omega-3 fatty acids in salmon help improve the brain and improve memory, and with vitamins A and D, amino acids and selenium, protect the nervous system. Salmon has an antidepressant effect and eating these fish helps prevent Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. People who eat at least one apple a day have a 28 percent lower chance of developing type 2 diabetes. Black turnip

      @diymotherhood: Physalis isn't available in my country unfortunately. It is a Peruan strawberry, and I would love to try it most definitely. I love summmer because of all the vegetables that come with it.

      Never heard of Physalis. Have you ever seen that available for purchase in a store? Strawberries, yum. Too bad they are not in season. I love Summer when all the fruits are available (cherries, grapes and strawberries are my favorite). I am not a big fan of vegetables though... too bad chocolate is not on your list, but I already figured it wouldn't be.

      I'm glad figs were on the list - they are my favorite food when they are in season.

      Great lens, love the balance between the exotic and the vegetables that we ignore because we consider then 'boring', will definitely have to take another look at roccoli and cabbage. Wonder if horseradish tastes as bad as horseradish sauce?

      Well i eat vegetables regularly. It is great to see healthiest foods here but i guess there are other vegetables you must think of.

      I watch what I eat most of the time. The trick is to never get really hungry so that you lose your willpower.

      I try to eat healthily most of the time but I am not too strict. If I fancy a piece of cake I will have it!

      I try to eat salmon, tuna and broccoli once a week, but I still like crisps, a few biscuits with my tea and the occasional pizza. So they kind of cancel each other out.

      I've been trying to eat more fish, and it's been great, but I do get tired of fish after a while. Guess I need to switch up how I cook it.

      I'm trying to eat more fish... that's my downfall. Have never heard of black turnip... that's a new one for me. :) The rest I'm good with. Oh yeah... I don't like cabbage very much but I will eat it!

      @Thamisgith: Thank you very much. I think that all starts from our food habits. If we don't pay enough attention to what we eat then our health may get bad.

      I love most of these! Never heard of Physalis or Black Turnip though. It's nice to see that it's not so difficult to eat healthy!

      Great lens! I was pleasantly surprised to see just how many foods that I like are listed. It just goes to show that you can eat healthy and still enjoy tasty meals!

      I care a lot about healthy food and I'm glad to see that most of these are in my daily diet. Whenever I eat other stuff I feel heavy and tired.
