I read Tim Ferris's 4-hour work week in early 2010. I was very skeptical, but actually I liked it a lot. It's full of practical advice that you can put into action so you can spend less time working and more time living.
I didn't want exactly the life that Tim was advocating - I have two young kids and a job that I actually enjoy. But I did get a lot from it and it did change my world view. I learned some things that have helped me be more effective.
Definitely worth the money. So I expect Tim's new book to be of value too.
