5 Foods That Boost Your Immune System!

1. Kefir

Kefir is a fermented food loaded with enzymes and healthy bacteria that boost your immune system by helping fight disease causing germs in your gut and intestinal track. Kefir, and other fermented foods such as yogurt and sauerkraut, also aid in the production of antibodies.

2. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is in rich lauric acid which enhances immunity. Lauric acid is converted into monolaurin in the body which kills viruses. In addition to its anti-viral properties coconut oil has been shown to fight harmful bacteria.

3. Blueberries

Blueberries are very rich in antioxidants which make them powerful immunity boosters. In particular, blueberries contain the antioxidant anthocyanin which is thought to increase the potency of vitamin C. Vitamin C increases the production of antibodies and white blood cells which fight infection.

4. Fresh Garlic

Garlic is anti-viral, anti-bacteria, and anti-fungal. Plus, unlike synthetic antibiotics, your body bacteria and viruses in your body do not develop a resistance to it. Garlic also helps to relieve sinus congestion.

5. Mushrooms

People have consumed mushrooms to improve their health for centuries. Research shows that mushrooms boost the immune system by increasing the production of white blood cells which help the body fight off infections.

      I suppose I am one of the luckier individuals who enjoys the items on this list purely for their taste and I am a huge fan of garlic. Any type of remedy for aiding in an increased immune system is ok in my book.
