This is a very well written and informative hub about Pizza!

I am not a big fan of Pizza but I can say it is a comfort food, not healthy in real sense. When you are in no mood to cook, you can order for Pizza home delivery. The toppings have some veggies, but beneath that it is what they call junk food.

But you can have it once in a while. In that case I would opt for capsicum, mushroom pizza.

Thanks for sharing the Pizza facts, they are interesting and informative! Voted up!

I love those fun facts things. And I love pizza, not just eating it but also making it at home.

Since knowing that the earliest pizzas were in fact sweet, you give me an idea to make a homemade sweet pizza (where instead of grated cheese or parmesan, I would add chocolate shavings or powdered cocoa). Delightful hub! :)

@ChitrangadaSharan: Thank you very much for being the first commenter!

Pizza can be called junk food because of it's refined flour, cheese and oils, sodium, and who knows what other additives?

With homemade pizza you can control what goes into your pizza, and there are plenty of easy recipes online. My mum makes the most heart-warming homemade pizza and with less oil and cheese, it still tastes great!

Now that's a hub after my own taste, for I do love my pizza! A fun hub - thanks. And I even learned some things, such as October being Pizza month and that pizza used to be sweet. Sounds awful, though.
