Cucumber is a widely cultivated plant belonging to the family Cucurbiataceae. It is a creeping vine bearing a cylindrical edible fruit when ripe. It has a dark green rind and white succulent flesh. This plant is originally from India but it has been cultivated in most parts of the world. Cucumber fruit is consumed as food but it also has many health benefits not know by many people.
