Frozen fruits and vegetables are less nutritious

Fruits and veggies when frozen retain most of their nutrients and lie close to fresh produce for health benefits. Just make sure there is no salt, sugar or preservatives added and they are good to go for.

Skipping meals will help you lose weight

Skipping meals is not at all healthy if you are up for weight loss or not. And if you are exercising then it is the worst thing you can do for your body. Depriving your body of essential nutrients can lead to weak immune system, fatigue which will show visible signs on you.

Another problem with skipping meals is it will eventually lead to food cravings high in sugar and fat which overall defeat the purpose of your weight loss big time. Instead of skipping meals you should be vigilant in keeping you full with healthy and balanced diet ( as suggested by dietitian ).

Carbohydrates are bad for weight loss

Carbohydrates are actually a great source of energy. The body uses carbs as fuel to burn body fat during workouts. You can make it a point to avoid processed carbs and select healthy carb options for your meals or snacks. Complex carbs provide continuous energy over the period of time foods like whole grains, beans or nuts where as simple carbs give spike of energy foods like bread, sugar, cereal etc.

Eggs have bad cholesterol

Eggs are excellent food, totally skipping on eggs is not a wise thing to do. Most healthy people can eat up to seven eggs a week with no increase in their risk of heart disease. Some studies have shown that this level of egg consumption may actually prevent some types of strokes.

Eggs are packed full of high quality protein. The protein in eggs is not only easy to digest it also contains all the building blocks of essential proteins and in the right proportions. They serve as a good source of many important vitamins and minerals including the B vitamins riboflavin, vitamin B12 and folate and vitamin D.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, one large egg has about 186 mg of cholesterol all of which is found in the yolk. If you are healthy, consume no more than 300 mg of cholesterol a day. If you have diabetes, high cholesterol or heart disease, limit the daily cholesterol intake to no more than 200 mg a day.

Moderation is the key with eggs.

Early morning is the best time for workout

You would get same results irrespective of your workout timings. What is more important is to work out regularly. However, early morning is good to do breathing exercises to bring in more fresh oxygen in your body that will keep you fresh and energized all day long. Morning is a good time to work out as your mind is free of all day stimulations and activities, so you focus more on your workout that other things.

But if you could not workout in mornings for any of the reasons. Do not be hesitant from doing it at other time of the day. Just move your body even if not in mornings or same time of the day.

Your genes decide your metabolic rate and body weight

Genes passed on to you by your parents do play there role in how your body is. But they do not totally control how you can be. Just working around your body, taking in account how genes make your body function can lead to your dream body. That is the reason why certain things work for some people and not others.

Your body tries to keep your weight within a specific range, called your set point. The range is greatly influenced by your genetic makeup. But your actual weight within that range is influenced by your lifestyle or environment. So let genes do their work and you do yours.

It is best to starve before an event

When you starve on food you are not only depriving yourself of essential nutrients that are required to provide you energy and healthy glow but also sending wrong signal to your mind which ultimately leads to your body storing food as fat for future use. What you are doing is storing fat and setting yourself up for a bloated face. Bad idea specially before big event.

Instead try increasing your physical activity in any form. If you want to then avoid sugar and sweets. Stick with healthy and balanced diet always.
