"911 Nightmare Controversey"

The same night that I posted the hub on 911 and how they help so many people, and then to listen to people on Dr. Phil show telling us that the 911 as we knew it doesn't exist anymore.I was so flabbergasted as I watched several botched up calls that cause people their lives. It was very scary to watch and listen to the 911 calls that didn't get the correct information; there by causing people to get kill or died in the process. The hub I wrote before on 911, was about helping others that were in need; but that night prove to me, that 911 is not all that it should be right now. We were told that because of an out dated system andthe use of cell calls to 911 is hard to pinpoint because it doesn't have an address.

It seem some people are losing their lives through the 911 helpline and that isn't an option. It's horrible to think that if youj're in dire straights, that can no longer depend on the 911 help line. This poor young lady called 911, begging doe help because someone was trying to kill her; but 911 wasn't able to save her life, even though she made to the police station, but was shot to death outside the police station and the assailant turn the gun on himself. This is just one of the stories that turn out bad. 911 helpline system need to be brought up to speed, like yesterday. It's becoming more apparent every day , that the only thing we can depend on and trust in is God, because everything else seem to be failing us. I thought the 911 helpline was a blessing to us but it appear that it might be a big problem to us instead of a help. I truly hope and pray that they get 911 fixed right away, or there will be more unwanted deaths to report to society.

I watched the same program and yes it was scary. Since then most operators are now trained. You can tell the difference, I've watched programs that include 911 calls and many operators are excellent. But some are horrid . . I think it is a disgrace for operators to ask questions that have nothing to do with the emergency at hand wasting time. Thank you for this hub. Voted up, marked useful.

      CO,

I wonder how many of those people that died using 911 would have died anyway without the use of 911. Ultimately God is the only giver and taker of life and I believe it was in His plan for them that something was botched. People make mistakes and 911 is run by people. For sure there needs to be improvements made, but I'm guessing also that maybe they save more lives than lose them. Just a thought, and thanks for being transparent enough to show the other side.

Some 9-11 operators are excellent but others are not.

When we had a bad car accident just down the street, I had to repeat everything over and over until she finally got it right. It was pathetic.

When I mentioned it to a cop who responded, he shook his head in disgust and rolled his eyes.
