Can you help them stay clear of the fast-food drive-thru? Can you help them see why not buying a new iPhone every year or leasing a new car every two years can help them save money for the future?

• Both types of coaches help teach long-term changes. Losing weight and keeping the weight off is about altering lifestyle choices and sustainable behavior change. Fixing financial issues is all about making long-term changes that will produce results in the present and the future.
