ADDICTIONS- Feeling Like Lost In Space

Updated on July 27, 2010

Are you addicted? There are so many forms of addictions such as alcohol and drugs, sex, gambling, food, hoarding, and so many others as well.

No matter what the addictions is your feeling lost in space. These addictions run and most of the time ruin your life as well as many other people that some addicts really don't even think about.

I had only one addiction and that was the addiction to alcohol and many years of it. I lost so many years of having quality time with my family and it's something that can't be brought back. It's gone and lost in space somewhere out there with no retrieval.

The life of any addiction is just about the worst thing that can happen to anyone and if not controlled or hopefully stop all together can ruin just about everything you had worked for in the past years.

Addiction sneaks up on us very slowly and we can't really see it happening for that very reason. Slow but sure, it's gonna get us, and when it does it will be a tough road to recovery too bring your life back on track.

Although, if anyone wants to change their life, it surely can be done. All you need is the determination and the willingness to just surrender and don't look back for one second. I did it, and I can tell you, thinking positive and truly wanting sobriety will make it happen.

You have to really want to quit drinking and regain your life back, just not for you, but all that have been affected by your actions in the past.

Just think how you would feel to conquer something you thought would never be possible. This is how I thought. I felt lost, alone, helpless, no self esteem, negative thoughts, no self worth, until I prayed to my higher power (in space) and asked for his help.

I then returned back to earth, something I thought I would never see again in my life time. Wow, the power of prayer is a remarkable thing. Every person that is addicted to one thing or another should really swollow their pride and try to pray and ask for help, because it does work believe it or not.

I must say, help from family and friends also help along with some that may need Professional Help, but the first thing is to pray to God for his help and then continue on with what you must do.

Finding sobriety is like being reborn and starting a clean and sober life is like a breathe of fresh air. At least it was for me,, and I hope it will be the same for people that continue to struggle with their addiction and want to find a life of sobriety again.

Don't don't be embarrassed, get out of denial, admit your addicted and you need help, surrender to your demons, think positive and believe and you will achieve!
