Abortion, the Truth Revealed

Updated on May 26, 2018

The debate over abortion has been on-going debate for many decades, perhaps centuries. Is abortion murder?
Included in this topic are the debates about whether a woman should have the right to choose or not, or whether a baby is a baby while still growing in the womb and when is it a child? Another question is--when does life begin?
Exodus 20:13 You shall not murder
This scripture is not hard to understand. One can not mistake what we are being told. It clearly tells us that we are not to murder.
I do believe that everyone knows and understands that murder, or taking a life is wrong. Yet, some of the people who understand that concept advocate abortion. These people say that it is the mothers, or woman’s right to choose what she does with her body. But let us think about this, whose body is she doing something to? It is not hers, instead it is being done to the unborn child’s body. It is the unborn child that she is destroying.
Make no mistake about it, that, which is growing in the woman, is a living being--a child!
In Jeremiah 1:5God tells us that he knew us before He even formed us in the womb. So this also means that we are all chosen by Him. What right then, do we have to destroy a human?
Again I ask. "How then, can anyone say that what is growing in the womb is not a child, when God clearly says that before He formed that baby He already knew him/her?".
Just by what we have read in Exodus and Jeremiah we already know that abortion is Murder—no excuse.
God cares about the unborn child(ren), without any doubt.

In Exodus 21:22-25 we are told that there are serious repercussions for harming the unborn child or children.
This clearly tells us that God cares, why else would He say what He does? So again we know that abortion is murder, which is a sin and God will see that the offender(s) pay for harming the child. Judgement will fall upon the people and nations that condone these evil and despicable acts.

Psalm 106:34-39
34 They did not destroy the peoples
as the Lord had commanded them,

35 but they mingled with the nations and adopted their customs.

36 They worshiped their idols, which became a snare to them.

37 They sacrificed their sons
and their daughters to false gods.

38 They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters,
whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was desecrated by their blood.

39 They defiled themselves by what they did; by their deeds they prostituted themselves.

Let us put it in today’s perspective. We can say that they did what others did, they adopted the custom of abortions, worshipping clinics that perform abortions, and this is a snare that binds them to their sin. The murder of the unborn is like a sacrifice to satan, shedding the babies blood. The people who do this and allow this are desecrating their land and defiling themselves. They prostitute themselves to satan.
Murdering a child, unborn or born is evil, God hates it.

Here are some things to consider:
-- baby’s heart begins to beat just 18 days after conception
brain waves can be measured at six weeks,
--At eight weeks the vital organs are functioning and fingerprints have formed
--At nine weeks, the unborn baby is able to feel pain.
--*Did you know that over 700,000 abortions each and every year are performed AFTER this point in the pregnancy?

2nd month--The unborn child looks distinctly human. However
the mother may not be aware that she is pregnant.
11th week--He or she breaths fluid, swallows, digests, sleeps, dreams, wakes, tastes, hears, and feels pain.
20 to 25 weeks--Babies can survive outside the womb.
*Everything that is necessary to make the baby a grown human being is there from the moment of conception. All it needs is time.

Dr. C. Everett Koop once stated that we know life begins at conception because of test-tube babies. You have an egg and sperm in a dish and you add nothing to it to make a child.

So here we have it, life begins at conception. We know it by science and more importantly by what God says to us.
If you are still not convinced then read these:
Isaiah 49:1 speaks about being called before being formed in the womb

Job 31:15 also speaks about God having created all people in all lands. We are all from the same Father--God.

Psalm 139:13-14 Here we read again about how God made us wonderfully, and beautifully. How precious we all are in His eyes.
So here we have it. God knew us before we were even formed in the womb, He created us when we were in the womb and we are His.
If one kills a baby, then he/she is guilty of murder and is committing sin and is cursed.

Numbers 35:33-34
Do not pollute the land where you are. Bloodshed pollutes the land and atonement cannot be made for the land on which the blood has been shed, except by the blood of the one who shed it. Do not defile the land where you live.
If someone has committed the act of murder, then there is hope; you can be forgiven by coming to Jesus. You can repent for this act and turn from your sinful ways and be forgiven.
Jesus tells us that He can forgive, He can take your sins and wash you clean by His blood. He died so that you can live. Come to Him, change your ways, there is hope and life in Christ.

Isaiah 43:25
25 “I, even I, am he who blots out
your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.

The neural network, starting with the Primitive Streak (the spinal cord) is the FIRST organ to form and start to function. It is the electrochemical impulses and the shape of the network that cause the organs to form. Since the heart is beating at 18 days, the neural network precedes that. We are not able to detect that activity yet, but it's there. It is fair to say that although we cannot detect brain waves before 6 weeks LMP (4 weeks gestational age), they're there. The brain also forms immediately. Its activity is REQUIRED for a heartbeat to occur. Without a pulse from the brain, the cells of the heart would fibrillate. Babies as young as 6 weeks LMP have been shown to try to avoid painful stimuli. That puts an upper limit on when babies start to feel pain. It is before 4 weeks gestational age. A doctor actually testified to this before Congress, by the way.

Excellent hub page Thomas, of course if you believe there is no God what you have written is all just a fairy tale from the make believe book called the Bible.

There is no more selfish act than to get an abortion which is an act of total lack of faith in God. There is no more innocent human being on earth than a helpless, defenseless baby in the womb.

The vast majority of abortions are performed for solely reasons of convenience, ninety-two percent cited what might be termed "social" or "other" reasons, rather than medical reasons or sexual assault, as the primary basis for their abortions. Frivolity is the rule.

Although pregnancy as a result of either rape or incest is extremely rare, there is no getting around the fact that pregnancy does occur in some instances but abortion cannot be justified in the cases of rape and incest. In both cases abortion results in the death of an innocent human life.
