How Vitality And New Reality Set In After Ending All Medication

Updated on December 24, 2015

Under The Doctor’s Care

I was under the doctor’s care for over 15 years, taking medicine for controlling high blood sugar and high cholesterol. Well recently, I got fed up with taking medicine. I decided to take my health in my own hands. I changed my diet and started consuming the necessary foods to nourish my body and mental state. I have arrived to the point that exercise is very important because it enhances blood flow by helping the heart to pump the blood more efficiently. Doctors either, don’t realize that or don’t take the time to promote or talk about that.

Vitality And Reality Set In

Healing involves naturopathy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naturopathy Naturopathy is in my opinion, living through a natural system of vitalities for healing mind, body and soul. After taking the gamble on having faith, eating properly and exercising consistently, I realize that my energy was coming back. I realized that certain things that were engrained in me had not changed for instance, are you ready for this? My desire for a true love relationship coupled with sexual desire has come back at full force. My stamina is at its peak again. For a while it had all diminished and I believe it was due to medication.

The side affects of taking medications had taken over my body and mind. So, with being under the influence of medication leaves its negative dominance over me too. It may have given me temporary relief but the side effects were negative. The side affects also had a tendency to damage vital organs.

A Doctor’s Prescription Or Over The Counter Drugs

When a doctor prescribes a drug for you to take, he’s only going by a general diagnosis. Who knows how you feel, better than you know? Who knows exactly what you did or consumed to feel ill? Only you. Besides, I like to sip a glass of wine occasionally but under medication it is advised not to drink. When you’re given pain medication it is only for temporary relief. We must stop what causes the pain. The same thing goes for any other problem. You must stop the cause of the problem. If eating sweets causes your blood sugar to rise and you eventually become diabetic then you’ll live with that until you decide to rectify that problem.

Smoking Or Taking Marijuana

Marijuana may now be legally considered a wonder drug but it is full of evil spirits. I mentioned that in a book of poetry that I published in 1981. Another thing to note is just because something is good to you doesn’t mean it is good for you. A lot of things we indulge in is because of advertising, following a crowd or just feel like we can’t help it. Everybody needs to be able to love and control him or herself.

A Normal Human Being

I am no doctor, scientist, chemist or specialist of any kind but I do plenty of research and pay attention to my body and what it can do and take. I am a normal human being no more or less than anyone else.

The Role That God Played In My Life

God’s role in my life is major. I don’t understand now, how people can live without including God in their lives. He’s like a tool to use. He’s like a crutch to fall back on. He’s like a friend in the time of need. He’s the Holy Spirit that can guide us according to His own Will because He made us and knows what’s best for us too. He can make the devil back off when we’ve had enough despair in our lives but we must believe in Him and live according to His Will. Remember, there are those people who prayed for something, got it and then wished they had never asked for it. It may not have been prayed for according to His Will. We must be able to call on God and He responds in the nick of time. Whether it is believed or not we are not or own but we are God’s property to live according to God’s Will for us.

http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=I+corinthians+6%3A+19&version=KJV The more that that is challenged, we defeat our purpose for living. That is why we wonder why we have such a hard time in life.

It Took Unwaivering Faith

It took the faith and strength described in the heading above to get through to where I am today. I’m off all medications, vitamins and supplements because of becoming obedient to God’s supreme purposes for my life. The first thing that God blessed man with was a garden to tend to with all nutrition in it to consume for our well being. Many people don’t get that, unfortunately. After I quitting the medications, like a junkie, I would have little withdrawals a thought to resume them. By the way, I was only taking two-three plus vitamins. Have you ever thought that by taking vitamins and supplements and eating fresh vegetables, nuts and fruits may create an imbalance of nutritional health? So, I held out. Life has too much goodness to offer for me to get depressed or bored. I can always write a good hub or lie down and rest or read a good book. Real faith sustains us to the end is ready to take us through the next phase in life.

Redemption

The Availability of The Natural Remedy

The natural remedy to cure most if not all disease is readily available all around us. It is often taken for granted because it is so available. Eating vegetables, fruit, nuts, grains and unprocessed foods that are prepared by ourselves with daily exercise will help to cure a disease. If there is a way to grow vegetation then there is beheld even more power for overcoming. Remember, a person can get can used to doing anything. It is true that with prayer anything is possible through God.

Stick To It

It is uttermost important that the person stick with the natural and healthy routine without ever falling off again. It is hard to regain the same accomplishment after doing so the first time. Remember, you may love certain foods but the only food that loves you back are the live ones that God made to replenish our body system.

Hi Jean and thanks for stoping by. There is more to what I did, how I did it and why I did it. Besides vegetables, fruit and nuts there are healing herbal plants that are strong cures (for sickness and diseases) that come in various forms like fresh, dried leaves and powders including seaweeds. Many people either are not aware or just don't take the time to learn the properties of these natural remedies for curing. Medicines along with chemicals are made up of many of these plants, weeds and seaweeds then put in the form of a pill, capsule and etc. I would recommend praying constantly to the Spirit of God to incorporate more faith in researching herbs and getting used to some of the herbal/seaweed remedies and their spices to see what may work for you best as you contemplate dropping off meds., changing to a healthier diet and doing fun filled, daily exercises. Of course, drinking enough water per day is a plus.

This is very interesting. I have several chronic health issues, and my husband passed away last year. I feel that the medications I take are sapping my energy, and also causing upset stomachs. I read about some of the stuff I am on, and the pharmaceutical companies scare you, and act like it's dangerous to come off of certain medications. I want to try though, because I want my energy back and need to move on with my life. Your hub is very inspiring.

When I met my husband (now he is lol) he informed me that he had high cholesterol so I adjusted my cooking so he could have the foods he loves without all the cholesterol. I have him tricked now because he doesn't even miss not having beef more than a couple times a month. There are many ways to reduce doctor prescribed medication with natural therapies and dietary changes. I done a lot of research and adapted my lifestyle to include them.

Very nice hub and I am pleased to know that you are no longer taking any medicines. Now you are in charge of your body and mind.

I like the spiritual aspect you gave to the hub. Belief in God reinforces Belief in oneself--and I have firm belief in God. This belief makes you a better person with more disciplined lifestyle, which in turn leads to good health and prevention from ailments.

    Thanks for sharing, voted up!

As we sometimes say, make your food your medicine. I am slowly to consider food as something for me, not against me. I am glad to hear that you are exceptionally healthy.

Is that your cabbage dish? Thanks for sharing your recipe, again! I've been enjoying it very much. :D

Thank you Raine, I'm glad you're glad for me and others who has done it. If people follow God then their lives would simply be better off but they are too busy trying to please the flesh instead of allowing the spirit to guide them. Keep the faith my sister!

I'm glad to hear that you are healthy. It takes a lot of courage to follow a healthy lifestyle and put your needs before others . I think many people do not follow God these days because they are confused about what is truth and what to believe.

Hey Faith, I like your refreshing, new look. Very timely with my new life. I've changed the way I dress and I've changed to doing my best, i appreciate you my sister, always have since coming here. It's like you've been on this journey with me. Finally made it. I'm sure that others are going through what we've been through and they can cross that finished line to living on their God given supply of life. For a while I thought I couldn't make it through life without meds but I'm doing it. Thank you for your sheer encouragement and continued support. Love ya, We're Champs! Thanks for the sharing and vote up!
