Aloe Vera and What You Need to Know!

Updated on February 6, 2016
Flower from the Aloe Vera Plant.
Flower from the Aloe Vera Plant.

Look at the dramatic impact!!

Although Aloe Vera has been in use for over 5000 years, the world of science has suddenly discovered and substantiated that this ancient plant has been labeled... the new healer.

The use of Aloe Vera has been growing at a repaid rate over the last 50 years as many of the so-called miracle products have been overly promoted in the market place and then silently faded away.

While on the other hand, properly stabilized organic Aloe Vera proves itself over and over everyday.

So, we have to ask the hard questions...

...Why has Aloe Vera made such a dramatic impact in recent years? First, let’s take a closer look at a few of these amazing discoveries and evaluate the common denominator.

There’s more to it than one might see..

…because of the recent discoveries in the last couple of decades it’s not just the Aloe Vera plant or its many different stabilized compounds derived from the Aloe Vera plant. There are now new initiatives being used, and those come in the form of study, testing and clinical applications of key isolated ingredients from the Aloe Vera plant and from the use of compounds from those exclusive ingredients.

In the past, this would not have been possible, because, traditionally it has just been the heated debates over what really constituted the active ingredient in the Aloe Vera complex.

Prior to 1978...

...findings about the Aloe Vera plants true active ingredient amounted at best to hypothesis over the source or even how that source could be traced. Even today, research continues to identify and uncover new important components in this ancient and highly valued plant.

A short list of recent discoveries;

Texas 1990 …properly stabilized organic Aloe Vera curative powers are found to be highly effective in laboratory tests in the treatment of colitis and ulcerative colitis.

Japan 1992 …research team testing the effects of properly stabilized organic Aloe Vera found that oral doses of properly stabilized organic Aloe Vera showed marked improvement over gastric ulcers.

Japan 1992 …research team conduct a study of properly stabilized organic Aloe Vera as a possible agent in the reduction of blood glucose in middle aged diabetics …blood samples were taken from the subjects and injected into laboratory mice whose blood glucose skyrocketed. After treatment with properly stabilized organic Aloe Vera injections, the blood glucose level of all test groups of rats had completely normalized within eight to twelve hours.

Dallas Texas 1990 …a group of doctors conduct and clinically treat a number of AIDS patients with properly stabilized organic Aloe Vera over a six months duration …showed a dramatic rise in their T-cell count and astounding levels of improvement.

These are just a few of the potentially landmark breakthroughs in some of the most difficult to treat pathologies know to modern science.

To that end …that’s why the recommendation is always drink plenty of clean, fresh, filtered water with 2-4 ounces of “the best tasting aloe vera” every day …know your supplier.

gjcody, I really appreciate this hub. Aloe Vera has been an intricate part of my life for years. The Hawaiians know just how important this medicinal plant is, both internally as well as externally. A dear friend of mine who just recently passed away was one of the top in his field in the knowledge of indigenous plants and their many uses. I'm really glad you did this hub! Voted up and shared!Lisa
