Are You Really Healthy?

Fuel for the body

That is one of the nagging questions in this nation today. What does being healthy mean? What is the state of your physical and mental health, do you know? Some medical practitioners would have you believe that achievement of a healthy state is followed by prescribing drug after drug. Whatever happened to the Hippocratic Oath; “first do no harm”. There is a constant bombardment of commercial advertising of drugs for everything under the sun including lowering cholesterol, male enhancement, depression, anxiety, weight loss, restless leg syndrome and the list goes on and on. For one weight loss drug in particular “Redux” approved in 1996, just three months after its introduction, doctors were writing 85,000 prescriptions a week. This drug was mixed with Fenfluramine and called (Fen) and Phentermine (Phen), sold separately but prescribed in combination. Redux was a newer version of Fenfluramine (dexfenfluramine) which was prescribed by itself. The problem was it killed people. So how could the FDA approve such a combination? Money, the drug companies made hundreds of millions of dollars selling this lethal combination and our Doctors prescribed it, at the expense of human beings.

Why do we have so many heart surgeries in this country? Money plain and simple. According to Howard H. Wayne, M.D., M. S., F.A.C.C., F.C.C.P., F.A.C.P.Director of the Noninvasive Heart Center in San Diego, California : “The prediction you will have a heart attack or die without immediate bypass surgery is almost always wrong. In truth, the likelihood of having a heart attack or dying during or immediately following bypass surgery is vastly greater.”

Did you ever wonder the reason for the rise in cancer or heart disease? Is it that we don't take the time to exercise and eat right, or is it due to the whole medical establishment? I believe it is both. We eat food loaded with preservatives and things like mono sodium glutamate, high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated vegetable oil such as margarine. "What!" you said, margarine, but that's better for me than butter, right? Wrong, this new view of margarine, which Americans now consumes four times as much of as butter, is just wrong. The big difference between the two is the chemical structures of the component fatty acids. Butter is a natural product, and its fatty acids are similar to the fatty acids in our bodies. The need to heat and add chemicals to transform vegetable oils into margarine changes fatty acids into unnatural substances that are very unhealthy to eat. You can do your own research on this subject, my point is we eat bad foods and thus we get sick.

The FDA approves drugs that are supposed to fix your ailments but they end up making things worse. Here is a fact that will rock your world. Did you know that approximately 110,000(one hundred and ten thousand) Americans die each year taking prescription drugs as prescribed. Yes that's right, as prescribed by a Doctor. I don’t know about you but I don’t want one of those prescriptions. I am trying very hard to eat healthy food to keep myself well. I buy organic vegetables and I grow my own garden. I drink unpasteurized milk and eat range fed beef. As Hippocrates says "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food". It makes sense to me because your body was designed to repair and defend itself from any disease if given the right fuel.

What about the big swine flu scare? I think is a whole bunch of hype concocted to sell vaccines. How much has the Federal Government spent on this lie, they have spent $2.0 billion of tax payer money to buy enough vaccine to immunize the 195 million people in the U.S. against this “new flu”. If the government makes the decision to go ahead with a full-scale vaccination program, it would be the largest, fastest vaccination program in world history. The flu vaccination used in the seventies after that scare, killed 10 times more people than the flu did. I believe they are up to the same panic driven sales of that era.

So who is making all this money anyway and what is their profit margin? There are five different vaccine makers supplying the U.S.: 46% will come from Novartis, 26% will come from Sanofi Pasteur, 19% will come from CSL, 6% will come from MedImmune, and 3% will come from GlaxoSmithKline. Listen this vaccine has "not been fully tested" so they will begin testing when they vaccinate 0 to 4 year olds and pregnant women first. They are the first test subjects. Do you and your family a favor and eat healthier, pay attention to the labels on food products and for God’s sake do your homework on any vaccination you are considering.

Here is a source to help you make the right decision for you and your family there you will find information and links to other sources such Price Pottenger Foundation with research done by Weston A. Price, fascinating to say the least. Remember there is no magic pill.
