Autism Test is 94% Accurate!
New Autism Test Is Accurate!
A new test for autism is 94% accurate although it uses current technology---the MRI (magnetic resonance imaging).
Researchers studied 30 people without autism and 30 people with autism.
They found that brain "circuitry" is very different in those who have the disease versus those who don't, especially in the areas of the brain associated with language and social skills and emotional functions.
By measuring the brain's circuitry with MRI technology, the researchers were able to diagnose the people, with 94% accuracy, who had autism.
The researcher's findings were published in the journal, Autism Research.
Autism Test Is Inexpensive!
The good news about this information is that the test requires current technology that is relatively inexpensive and affordable. The MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) has been around for some time.
But there's more good news! Up to now, the diagnosis of autism has been subjective. Now there's a definitive test that diagnosis the problem! This means there can be earlier detection and kids can get help sooner, which may help them in the long run.
If you think your child has autism, there's no reason to wait for a diagnosis. Give your doctor a call now.
